December 2008 Picspam!

Gifts were given and received. There's also a sense of wonder about myself as well as Maddy. I think I appreciate my body a lot more now than in high school or college. Partly because of the birth and the fact that I produce loads of milk, partly because I know how to dress it a lot better now. Thanks to the nursing diet, I'm about ten pounds heavier than my high school weight instead of twenty-five, where I started at this time last year trying to get knocked up. I feel a lot better now, even without the exercising. I know I'd feel tons better if I managed to squeeze in a little of that somewhere in my day. But then again, in a week I start the inpatient unit, and I'll have that walk all the way to the hospital from the parking garage, which is more than I have now. And I tend to run around like I'm hypomanic when I'm rushed, so I think I should look awesome by summer. :)

And as for the wonder about Maddy... She hates tummy time. She loathes it with a loathing that is pure and true. Yet sometimes I can get her to enjoy it when she's lying on me and once in a while when she's in a good mood on the floor or on a Boppy. In the past two days, she had lifted her head up again, and hit that 90 degree mark she'd only hit once before. And she's found her thumb all day long on Christmas day, giving us the gift of self-soothing. She's a lapful of baby wonderfulness. *squishes her*

But yeah. That's not what you're all here for. Oh noes. You're here for the pics. There's a lot of them, folks!

It takes me forever and a day to get pics off my camera. So, you get Matt and Jen's wedding photos from my six year old camera waaaaaaaay in the back of the room as well as Christmas photos.

Maddy and Daddy watching TV in the hotel. I squish on them both!

Robin is a glam auntie, isn't she? Yes, she is. She will one day teach Maddy all about the wonders of Sephora. :)

And this expression says: "Yeah. I know I'm cute. I pwn you all."
