January 24: After the white elephant party at Lucky Lab, William and I crossed the street to check out
Clever Cycles. The cycles are clever but the staff isn't. We were there 15 minutes and no one spoke to us. The guy behind the counter looked at us every once in a while, as if he was wondering what species we were and when we were going to leave his shop and get back in our flying saucer. I will definitely go somewhere else to buy my
Nutcase helmet. After that we went to
Coventry so William could get a new tire. I asked the friendly people there about carrying-stuff options for my bike, and went home with a birthday present of an under-seat rack. I am hoping that my Valentine's Day present will be installation of said rack, to make sure it works with my panniers and so that I can buy more groceries per trip. Or check out more books. Or . . .
Well, I can't decide whether that's one thing or two, or three, but I have to do some work now.
