Levi is back in Albuquerque as far as I know. Our only activity of Thursday was lunch with William at the Cadillac Cafe. I don't know whether his shoes dried out in time for the flight, but he borrowed a pair of William's to go to lunch. Fortunately, I have two pairs of Crocs and several pairs of plastic sandals that will fit Niki, and can ( Read more... )

JoAnn I thought that you would like to know that George passed away in Virginia on 3 Aug from his vigilant fight with his cancer. Can you let people know about him? I will be glad to answer any questions that anyone has.

I'm so sorry. Thanks for letting me know. I know what a tough fight he had.

Was there/will there be a memorial service for George? Any charities that people can donate to in his name?

He had a funeral in Virginia on Tuesday. I was told that it was one of the best funerals they had ever been too. He was to be a senior this fall and had received a $10,000 scholarship and was looking forward to getting a real job as he liked to say. He also had a scholarship for his junior year as well. He received the highest grade point in his class last semester and was inducted into the Mathematics Honor Society. A number of his college professors talked on his behalf at his funeral. I was really proud of him and am so very sad that he had to have this happen to him. Especially when he was getting his life altogether. He was always reminding me that he had terminal cancer and I had to accept it. He was a very special son and I already miss him. He told me that he missed his old life in KC and his on-line friends, so you might want to let them all know. I will have an e-mail address for anyone who wants to write about him or read what others say.
