Why I loved it: I don't generally read Hunger Games AUs. I prefer reading about alternate canons or fill in the blanks or just about anything canon-related. But I saw this summary and couldn't resist. Man, this hit a lot of buttons. Katniss actually felt like Katniss (which is hard for me to buy outside of canon stories), there's a sweet romance with just enough heat to steam the page, and the potential made my mind go awhirl. In fact, I enjoyed this little one-shot so much I actually went out and bought one of this author's original works. I *very* rarely do that.
