(no subject)
Since I'm going to be gone for so long, I rescheduled my usual hair appointment that would've happened in my absence. That meant, today I went and got it cut. No toauching up the color, because it was too soon for that, but if I wanted to keep my flippy style, it needed to be shorter.
The picture I took in the car doesn't do the cut justice. It's flippy and adorable and fuller than it looks in that photo. I love it to pieces.
I watched Journey 2 with the kids tonight. Yes, because of Josh Hutcherson. But I do kind of adore Dwayne Johnson. I just like watching him. He's self-aware enough not to take himself seriously, and c'mon, don't forget the pretty. Hardly Oscar material, but the kids laughed, and I got to spend a couple hours enjoying something with them, so all is good.
I'm also in the process of putting all my fic up on AO3. It's a very, very, very slow process. I'm doing one a day, and I'm starting with the Buffy drabble one-shots, mostly because I don't want to deal with using a lot of time I don't really have putting up with all the 502s they're experiencing right now.
Today's "I've learned" lesson...I've learned that the best thing about growing older is that now I don't feel the need to impress anyone. - Age 79
