Having a daughter now old enough to mock me and/or roll her eyes whenever it gets mentioned.

pepperlandgirl4 finally conned me into watching Merlin when we were visiting her by getting my kids to like it and making it inevitable that we'd watch it at home. Turns out, I actually enjoy the show, but somehow, some way, I've developed a mad crush on Bradley James, the guy who plays Arthur:

I know the feeling - except in my case, my daughter had a big crush on Spike...until the first time we went to go meet him (Milwaukee 2001) and after I heard him speak, then I got it, try as I might not to (okay, didn't try much). I know I'm not the first mom in this fandom (the only one I've ever been involved in...well, okay, I dug the Monkees when I was like 12, but that was just silly fun - I liked Peter *g*) that this happened to, but it just sounds terrible on the face of it. LOL Oh well, she moved on....rather quickly after that (wonders why) to real boys (lol) and now she likes Eric Northman from True Blood.

Funny thing is that after years of making fun of me, she's gotten into watching Buffy lately again on cable. She texted me the other day, "OMG, I just saw a Buffy ep I haven't seen in years - the first one!" Hee! Buffy rules!

P.S. I do like Merlin a lot - I have to find it on cable now that it's not on CBS anymore. We don't have cable, but we do watch cable shows online. He is a cutie, and love ASH in it.
