American Idol, the top 7

David A. - OK, it has absolutely nothing to do with his singing, but…who the hell put little David in leather pants? Are they insane? So not his image. He looked like a little kid playing dress-up. And I fear my reaction to his song is going to be the same with all the others. I don’t like Mariah Carey. It sounded okay, but I just didn’t connect to it.

Carly - OK, I don’t hate this song. And Carly’s got one of the best voices for these kind of songs left in the competition. I found the refrain a bit repetitive, but technically, it was flawless. But Carly seems to be losing her confidence. I think being in the bottom so often is starting to get to her.

Syesha - The song bored me, Syesha bores me, but I fear we’re not done with her yet.

Brooke - OK, I was wrong. *This* was boring. Even Alicia, who couldn’t tear herself away during any of the rest of the show, chose halfway through this to go and get ready for bed rather than wait for the commercial.

Kristy - I couldn’t even hear her lower register. It got better with the chorus.

David C. - Sigh. I like David. But what he did was boring. I suppose it doesn’t help that I really loathe this song, either.

Jason - Oddly enough, I really kind of liked this. I thought Jason was going to get suffocated by a Mariah Carey song, but this worked for me, surprisingly.

FAVORITE TWO - Jason and David A.
LEAST FAVORITE TWO - Brooke and Kristy

Who do I want to go home? Kristy
Who do I think will go home? I want to say Syesha or Kristy, but I fear for Carly.
