My mother-in-law decided to get a college degree after her two sons graduated from college and her husband got a Masters Degree in Social Work. She was probably in her mid 50s when she decided to do this. It was an enormous undertaking for her. She was supported by all of us, most especially by her husband. We were very proud of her. Of course, all of that was on campus. It was way before on-line learning.
I'm sure that you can do it, whatever way you choose.
As someone who got their second degree as an adult and already working, it was fine. Most kids are so busy with school and getting dates and such or hanging out with their friends, that they won't really notice you unless you do something really weird like show up in a costume every class or something like that.
Bigger question is the energy it takes to go to school. But I'm sure you will be fine.
However, choose a subject that will give you some income. I know that is mercenary but hey, that's the way it is these days.
Best of luck with finishing the degree. My mother did a Masters degree when she was in her 50s and thought she would feel out of place but discovered that it was good to have a mix of ages.
