Oddly relaxing day in spite of another weird encounter with my manager. We've been getting a ton of new books in to build up the collection again since they stopped buying very much last year. On paper, the list of books I had to pull seemed like it would be enough. In reality, half of them were skinny graphic novels, getting replaced by chapter books 4x their size. Also, Acquisitions has gone nuts replenishing our kids non-fiction. In February, we were down to a dozen books on a single shelf. Now we have two 4-foot shelves filled, with more sitting on the cart waiting to go out. My manager annoys the crap out of me these days, but in getting all these books, she's not actually the one to blame.
