Weird spot

I woke up to a bit of weirdness this morning.

So last summer, I got bitten by some kind of bug at a wedding in July. I found the spot on my left shoulder two days later, then two days after that noticed red streaking away from it toward my armpit. That prompted me to Urgent Care where I got diagnosed with cellulitis, had to get a tetanus shot, and was prescribed two different antibiotics. It all cleared up within a couple weeks.

This morning? I got out of the shower to find I have a spot on my left shoulder. The same size and location as the spot last summer.

It doesn't hurt, though it started to itch a little in the afternoon so I covered it with a bandage to keep myself from scratching at it. There's also no head and it's not raised. It's just red. Just like it started out last year.

But what adds more weirdness is that I haven't been outside in the past three days except to walk to my car when I had to run errands (where I didn't even get out of the car because I took Alex with me). And I still don't think it looks like a bite, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what else it could possibly be. It's just a single spot, about the size of a dime. Uniform redness. Discovered in the morning when I get out of the shower and see my reflection in the mirror. Just like last year. It makes me think it's something else, because I've had no other bites anywhere for the last ten months, so what're the odds I'd get the next one in the very same spot?!?

I have no idea. But I'm going to keep a much closer eye on it than I did last year. We took a picture with a measure next to it so that I can see if it gets bigger. If anything changes for the worse, I'm going to the doctor.
