Yesterday was the perfect day to buy plane tickets. I'm so glad I thought to check. Reunion tickets for under 300, Kat's wedding tickets for under 250... I am hugely pleased. It might still be that good, if anybody else is looking for tickets at the moment

If you want someone to give you an Obama sell, I'm happy to volunteer. I did make up my mind relatively early in the campaign (as in, before the primaries had started) but I did put a lot of thought into it. I didn't come in as a defacto Obama supporter, and I've done my best to challenge my decision along the way -- there's too much riding on this election to get hung up on a candidate and defend him/her blindly without truly believing that s/he represents the change that we need. Hillary has said and done some things in the past few months that have irritated the bejesus out of me -- but so has Obama (though I haven't LJ'd about his goofs, hahaha).

I'm not saying I'd sell you, but I can give you my reasoning as someone coming from a place that doesn't seem too different from yours. I'm sure you could find someone else to give you a Hillary sell. That might make it easier?

(I've stopped trying to pitch Obama to everyone who will listen, in the interest of trying to make sure people get to a mental space where they're capable of voting. There's way too much riding on this state for people not to vote, and to vote intelligently!)
