While I LOVED Salzburg, Innsbruck was my favorite. It's a nice little town and they have a zoo on top of a mountain. Its a gorgeous place.

I didnt really like Vienna too much.

Also it germany check out Koblenz and Cologne.

hey thanks! how are the prices for train tics within germany or austria? i don't think i'll be buying europass because i'll be flying easyjet most of the times from one country to another. i really do want to check out the places you mentioned and i'll be going there by train from berlin and vienna/salzburg. what did you not like about vienna? i'm planning to find an apartment for a month there. thanks again :)

I stayed in Europe for 3 months. Compared to the other big cities Vienna just doesnt match up. I thought it was quite harsh on the eye.
