UK festivals
From roughly June 5th to the 14th I will be renting a car and driving through the UK. While I do have most of what I want to see planned, I would also like to go to at least one Renaissance festival (or something similar). I'm talking costumes, re-enactment, craft booths, the whole shebang. Since I will be driving location is not too big of a deal. Internet searches are so unreliable and keep turning up things in the states. I will be in Edinburgh, Scotland over that weekend so anything then probably won't work.
I was also wondering if anyone has any suggestions for renting and driving in the UK. I plan to rent outside of London so as to avoid congestion fees. Should I get the full coverage insurance (I'm from the US so I'm not used to driving on that side of the road)? I was also wondering how far over the speed limit you can go before the police will stop you. I know it varies from state to state here.
