Cheap ferry to/from UK
Hello fellow travellers,
late august, I'm considering crossing the Channel to visit a friend in the UK. Since I'm a cheap Dutch b*stard I want to save on travel so I can splurge on fine British cuisine ;)
The nitty-gritty details:
- 1 car, 1 person (just me)
- any ferry can/will do (either from Belgium or France to the south of the UK)
- I'm not tied down to a particular day or time
- I want to stay a minimum of 5 days in the UK, so short-trip deals will not apply
- departure from main land anywhere between 21 and 25 Aug
- return to main land anywhere between 26 and 30 Aug
Who can help me figure out a cheap option? If travel in the dead of night can be somewhat avoided I'd be grateful, but if that raises prices considerably I'll just have to give up on a little sleep.
