Hi all, I'm putting together an itinerary for an upcoming trip to Europe, so hopefully, I won't completely take over this journal in the next few months. I've narrowed down the countries that I would like to go to and right now, my current itinerary has left me room for many day trips and side trips away from the main places that I want to check out. So, would you rather go to:
Rotterdam or Maastricht?
Antwerpen or Burges?
Munich or somewhere else in Germany?
And what are some of the pros and cons of each? I'm not a party person and I'm looking for modern art, museums, and peaceful, outdoorsy places. A little bit more about my trip: I'm traveling for 25 days total, flying into Amsterdam and planning to visit Amsterdam, another Dutch city, Berlin, Dresden, another German city, Belgium, another Belgian city, Paris, and London. How many days would you spend in each of these places if you had 25 days? I was thinking day trips for all of the cities that I've written as "another x city" (unless I go to Munich).
Have any of you purchased the Paris Visite card for museums? If so, was it worth it? In general, have you all found day passes to be worth the money (either for attractions or for transportation)? They sound good in theory, but I don't know how much ground I'm capable of covering each day.
Thanks.
P.S. I've been finding this website to be really helpful:
