This strange New England weather has my head spinning, especially at school. I've set myself up to be dragging my feet through the last weeks of the semester. Although I'm usually a good student, I've managed to maintain a 3.2 GPA. I have three more semesters to complete, excluding this current one, before I can graduate. My school kindly forgot to inform me that my major, History & Culture: Museum Studies, was no longer being offered. So, when I returned in August overjoyed at what would be a year and a half left of school, I learned that I was going to have to stay two years instead, in order to complete requirements for another major, Western Art History. All that said, I think it is not unacceptable for me to be put down a little, perhaps even resentful, at being here. It's not all bad.
Boston is a beautiful place to live, and I've made my fair share of friends. I've developed a number of personal relationships, and I've settled into a home. Still, it doesn't complete me, and eyes in the back of my head are always looking home. The number of acquaintances I've managed to keep back home, although I've lived in Boston for nearly four years, is still exciting and honestly flattering. I can't spin my arms around without slapping someone that I know, or who knows me.
Still...
I love Halloween in New England.
