Sotto Sotto

Last night I went to Sotto Sotto for half price wine night. Had an amazing Brunello di Montalcino, 1997 - apparently the best year in Tuscany in a century. Had mozzarella di bufalo with roasted yellow peppers and anchovies, risotto with shellfish appetizer, and swordfish with arugula. All standard Sotto Sotto fabulous.

And then...who is seated at the table next to us but none other than Kevin Rathbun. It is strange to see a chef from another restaurant, especially his own restaurant, dining at another restaurant. I guess they like to go out too! Of course Sotto Sotto's chef/owner Riccardo Ullio came out and chatted with him for a while, then they both went back to the kitchen to check out some kitchen gadgets. Anyway, I just thought that was interesting.
