I did that in a Vampire: The Ending of the World LARP at GenCon once. Very, very good game, and my character ended up selling her soul to Satan for all eternity in order to avoid Armageddon. She was an extremely childish Ravnos (hush, I've only played three Ravnos in my life, they just have the best stories...) and spent most of the LARP running around and squealing, hiding from most of the "special" guests (we had Satan, Lilleth, Cain and Malkav wandering about, recruiting people.)and playing tag with people who looked at her oddly and wouldn't chase her. I was quite put out about that. Well, apart from the guy whose brief had "must have sex before the world ends" in it. ^-^ My sire threatened to beat the crap out of him ( ... )

And... There will be much with the having another weekend due to Gwen also really wanting to be here and for work reasons not getting... it'll be for everyone who didn't make it and those who want to come back.... p.s I'm also using it as an excuse to celebrate that crap 21st I had.. minus Henry coming from Worthing :D

If it's going to be another weekend, please either let me know now when the date is or cope with me not making it again. We aparently need to book well in advance to get any time off, and July and August are full already...

Well, just as a general thing, if you're planning it for a weekend you're not likely to get me attending, I assume the same thing goes for Gwen if she can't make thid one for work reasons... Remember that Friday is effectively Monday for me.

Best LARP I've played in was a Cthulhu one by Sandy Peterson (who wrote the Call of Cthulhu RPG amongst other things). We had a small con at Heriot-Watt three or four years ago where he was a guest of honor. Amongst other things he ran the first ever session of a LARP that he wrote called 'Evil High Priest' where everyone played characters from the books. I was Wilbur Whatley, other people played the rest of the family, there was a Herbert West and othwer human characters, plus someone as Cthulhu, someone as Nodens, Hastur, Yog Sothoth, etc. Plus one lucky person playing Sandy Peterson. Around halfway through the Sandy Peterson character used a special ability of his to re-write Call of Cthulhu to make it more competetive and up to date. Basically he merged it with Hello Kitty, making all the people playing Great Old Ones and Outer Gods take on Hello Kitty-esque personalities. Watching Cthulhu running around (in a great costume made of green tights stuffed with foam) unable to do anything until 20 people have agreed to play catch with ( ... )
