OiaL left me with such a feeling of sadness and yet hope, and then the second season rips that hope right out from underneath me and leaves me with just sadness. And there's still the potential for hope, but the idea that what was once a bittersweet but happy memory is now no more than a dream, something Carter made up... the dichotomy of the rhythm of the song and the lyrics just thrilled me. Even the lyrics can be interpreted as hopeful or full of loss, simplistic as they are.
I just need to find a way to share this in a way that conveys the vid clearly, grrr.

I'm so very happy with how the tone and mood played out, but not so much with some of my editing (and especially how YT and even imeem translated the vid). This is my first vid on a laptop, so the frustration and impatience mounted quicker than it usually does. I knew I could keep tweaking this forever and not be satisfied, so I decided to step back and set my little one free.

If you don't want to go the whole website route, have you thought about also using a 3rd party file share--like YouSendIt, MegaUpload, etc. to offer people. I've found the nicest one is MediaFire (as long as it's under 100 mb). I don't believe they expire and the download link is fairly straight-forward (no hunting for it through text & confusing people). Imeem is a nice streaming site, but it's still streaming & that's never going to look perfect.

Oh, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Sometimes you just have to let go & move on.

The song was pure magic, and I loved how in the second half, the "black screens" (or however you vid-magicians call it) got more and more and lasted longer. So sad yet somehow sweet, it really made me ache inside.
