So am I correct in assuming that Brothers on a Hotel Bed by Death Cab for Cutie is fast becoming Supernatural fandom's anthem?

You may tire of me as our December sun is setting because I'm not who I used to be
No longer easy on the eyes but these wrinkles masterfully disguise
The youthful boy below who turned your way and saw
Something he was not looking for both a beginning and an end
But now he lives inside someone he does not recognize
When he catches his reflection on accident

On the back of a motor bike
With your arms outstretched trying to take flight
Leaving everything behind
But even at our swiftest speed we couldn't break from the concrete
In the city where we still resigned.
And I have learned that even landlocked lovers yearn for the sea-light navy men
Cause now we say goodnight from our own separate sides
Like brothers on a hotel bed
Like brothers on a hotel bed
Like brothers on a hotel bed
Like brothers on a hotel bed

Also, although good movies have been few and far between in 2006, the upcoming Autumn/Winter season looks to be very promising indeed.

There's lots of pretty boys and fantastic actresses in deep thinky films, WWII drama, lots of historical drama, iconic cartoons made into real live action movies, some gay lovin' and some truly cracktastic cheese fests.

Starting off with with some political and historical drama:

The Last King of Scotland (I predict James McAvoy is going to be a big star)

Babel (Cate Blanchett, Brad Pitt...set in Morocco)

Blood Diamond (this should be really good)

The Good Shepherd (20 years of history prior to the Bay of Pigs)

All the King's Men (Kate Winslet, Jude Law)

The Painted Veil (this looks stunning)

Flags of our Fathers (WWII drama)

On to something else entirely....

The Prestige (Christopher Nolan, Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Michael Caine...you can't lose)

The Fountain (Hugh Jackman again and the lovely Rachel Weisz..really looking forward to this)

Borat (looks hilarious)

Idiocracy (this looks like the best kinda guilty crack)

Some Fantasy...

Eragon (dragons...what's not to love? Still need to read the book)

Pan's Labyrinth (yes!)

Some Horror...

The Return (gotta support my girl Sarah Michelle Gellar)

The Wicker Man (ambitious remake of a horror classic)

And other bits and pieces:

Children of Men (interesting concept)

Marie Antoinette (this could either be very cool, or a disaster)

Charlotte's Web (my childhood! I still cry at the end of the cartoon)

The Black Dahlia ] (from the same series as L.A Confidential...Mia Kirschner once again plays a Lesbian who dies early on)

And two movies dealing with the love between two men:

The House of Adam

Broken Sky
