I can wholeheartedly recommend Stebel's Nautilus Compact as a replacement for whatever horn you might have in (or on, in
mendel's case) your vehicle. Quite potent. My horn circuit's 25A, so it was a straight swap for me. Most cars have a smaller capacity circuit - use the enclosed relay. Seriously, however, 115dB beats 97dB every time, and your safety is worth $45 and some scraped knuckles.
Don't, however, pull hard on 9 year old plastic parts. And on that snappy advice, I'm off to see how well this PlasticWeld stuff works, and hope that it'll suffice for the upcoming 800 miles or so.
