Y-yes, I'm fine! Just a shock from the scientists, I guess.

Oh, your communicator? Yes, they do that if you fail to post for a time. Are you hurt?

N-no ... my hand just hurts now. It's very rude!

Ah, perhaps you should soak it in some water? I'm not sure if warm or cold water is better for this type of hurt, though.

Water? Maybe I could try to. Does this happen often?

I don't think so. Only if you don't use your communicator. If you don't want to be shocked again, you'll have to use it more often -- or remember to guard your hands with something like a piece of cloth if this happens again.

I don't think I like these Scientists. In fact, I have yet to see one personally.

They're quite enigmatic -- I don't believe I've ever seen one, either. They occasionally make entries on the network, so we know they're there, but they rarely answer questions or requests.

Do you remember the last time they addressed the network? I'd like to speak to one! Maybe if I can try to reason with them a little..

I'm afraid not. I do know that one of the scientists is friendlier than the others -- her name is Ace. I don't believe we've heard from her in quite some time, though.

Ace? Hm. Maybe I can try and see if I can locate or contact her. I still don't quite understand why I'm here, but if they feel it necessary to shock me, it must be something.

You can always try over the network. I don't know if they'll reply, but we don't know where they're located, so it's really the only form of communication we have with them.

It's worth a try...

Ah, how have you been, Professor?

voice puzzledprof August 10 2009, 23:44:22 UTC
It certainly is!

Ah, I was about to ask you the same thing. But to answer your question -- a friend of mine was recently brought to the city; his name is Luke. Perhaps I can introduce you sometime soon.

Luke? Ah! Is he from your world?
