What do you mean? I said that their happiness and well-being is important, but so is yours.
One should not be sacrificed for the sake of the other and anyone who asks you to sacrifice your happiness, is selfish. Likewise - and I admit, I can't see you taking such action - one should never ask someone else to sacrifice their happiness for them.
Only oneself can build their own happiness. Others can take it away from them. There's a balance to be had.

It doesn't really hurt me if it makes others happy in the long run. I can deal with that. Seeing them happy is what makes me happy. I ... I don't want to be selfish. There are moments when I can be but not for this. As long as I have them with me, that's all I want.
