Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Jun 21, 2010 20:45

So, I'd been planning this for the longest time but due to budget constraints and what not, finally managed to make it happen thanks to my sister's help! :)

Booked a room at The Scarlet Hotel, after going through many reviews of it on Trip Advisor, and also my sis and friends who told me that they heard that it's pretty good! It was my present to him for our 2nd anni, belated of course, but better late than never.

He was totally kept in the dark and didn't have a clue to where we were heading to. He initially thought that I was bringing him to club (lol!), but ruled it out since it was a sunday. Hahah. But I had to reveal the surprise once we reached Chinatown MRT, cos I'm an idiot at directions and I needed his help to find the way. Heh.

Not that difficult to locate! & when he knew where I was bringing him to, he was damn happy cos he'd wanted to go there himself after walking past it with his friends last time! So, yay I made a right choice :)

Some photos taken from the website!

Pretty!

The lobby! We didn't get to go to the 2nd floor though, cos our room was on the 1st floor! Think the suites and executive rooms are upstairs.

Didn't take very long to check in, and then we were shown to our room! Actually I was quite worried at first, cos many of the reviews said that the room was small and stuffy, with no windows. So I booked the one with windows (additional $10), but it didn't really make a difference cos the room was shaped like an attic, and the windows were high up at the attic! So we couldn't see anything. Lol. But anyway, the room isn't THAT small, comfortable enough for us!

Our big comfy bed with lots of pillows!

Happy boyfriend :D

Complimentary water. Didn't see it at all for the first day and was totally dependent on koi to last us through the night. Hahha.

Lazed around and watched TV for awhile before we went for dinner. :)

Walked around Chinatown, looking for a place to dine at. Ended up buying koi first before going for dinner! Haha. Tried the honey milk tea and vanilla milk tea. Both are nice but I still prefer my green milk tea! Absolute favourite, heh. Decided to eat at Swensens cos we were starving by then and lazy to explore further.

Faking a smile for me.

My creamy pasta with salmon and mushroom. Love this!

Went back to our room and watched TV (again). Hahha, our only form of entertainment there. Land of the Lost was showing and we also caught Glee and some comedy which I forgot what its called. Oh, one downside is that the TV was like a bit spoiled? At some times we can't see the image properly.

Woke up quite early the next morning. But I went back to sleep after that heh. Prepared to check out around 11am.

He still has the sleepy eyes..

Big wooden wardrobe with mirrors; I like.

Had breakfast at one of those eateries, and then we went to Cine to catch The A-Team! It's damn funny and action packed! Bradley Cooper is hotttt! Hahhaha. Late lunch after movie and then back home 'cos our bags were really heavy and too tired to walk around anymore.

Overall, the hotel stay was good and I enjoyed every moment of it :)

Caught Toy Story 3 and dinner at Sakae on Thursday with him too! It's awesomeee; Touching, witty and hilarious. I've never watched Toy Story 1 and 2 before, only watched it recently online while at work. Now I feel like buying all 3 to re-watch at home! Hahha.

& dinner at Sakae finally satisfy my craving! Didn't order any main course but ate a bit of Adam's and also from the sushi from the conveyor belt since there's no dinner buffet. Bought koi, chocolate milk tea to smuggle into the cinema too. Hehe. But the chocolate totally covers the milk tea so I didn't really like it.

It's my off day today but I slept through most of the day. Sad life/ No life; I can't wait for my pay day! So broke I feel like @#%$&^(!  Am so gonna get myself a new bag and wallet once I get my pay hehehhee!
