...joining the ranks of the unemployed
So today was Last Day + 1, I squandered it by taking the kids to school in the morning and sitting on my ass reading. I talked a bit on the phone, sent a few e-mails and generally felt pretty good that I was done with my job, and therefore one step closer to leaving, while at the same time feeling pretty irresponsible that I quit a job with all the crazy economy stuff going on right now. I am too cool for school.
Tomorrow we head over to my Mom's for a few days in what will be our farewell visit. We'll go into London and take the kids to a museum, that'll be fun. But Sunday I think the missus is going to go play author amongst authors and I'll stick around with Mom...and watch/listen/cringe at her emotional meltdown that we're leaving. I'm REALLY not looking forward to that.
So, my next post will be after a few days when we get back. I'll recap it then.
