Rattle-Snake Roundup
Jeff, Carolina, and I are about to go pick up Dakota from school so Carolina and I start out the garage to get in the truck. I look down after taking a few steps into the garage and I see a SNAKE I pick up Carolina saying something like "Snake snake snake". Then I start yelling for Jeff (No need to yell since he was maybe 2ft away, but I felt like screaming at this point! I think I screamed "Snake Jeff, snake, big snake in the garage". Then for some reason I decide to run get the camera. Jeff says "yep that is a rattle snake" He runs and gets is hoe. I am trying to tape the snake when Jeff comes back with the hoe to kill the snake. He takes a swing at it and...yes he misses. This is when Carolina says "I told ya you would miss him daddy" He takes a few more swings and gets the snake good and ticked off. It was rattling and hissing, and it was really scary! I am still trying to tape all of this, but I am shaking all over and yelling be careful, watch out, and ok I said shit once, but the snake was striking at him and the stupid hoe! Finally He swings and gets it! My hero!! I did not get but about two seconds of the snake the rest of the tape is the walls, ceiling, and floor! It took about 30 minutes for me to calm down!! I was really glad Jeff was home from work today or I would have called 911 when I saw the snake, the police, fire department, dog catcher, and an ambulance would have shown up, and then we would probably have ended up in the newspaper! Yes that is the kind of thing that makes the news around here...I know it is sad but true!
