My friends, you have undoubtedly heard the hype about Batman Begins. I am here to tell you: very fucking true. It is brilliant, people. Chris Nolan is just a brilliant writer/director, and this is the first movie to do the Batman legend any sort of justice. Cillian Murphy is an awesome Scarecrow. The boy has sort of a scary look about him, but it's totally awesome for the character. He has a wonderful manic energy that befits the character. And Christian Bale? Is there any doubt that he is the greatest Batman to ever hit the screen? He is so perfect at conveying depth to the Bat.
Joker reference! Yay! I was all "Fuck yeah!" at that. I was "Fuck yeah!" about a lot of things. Like the Ra's Al Ghul being Liam Neeson. I was so disappointed at how lame Al Ghul was shaping up to be in the first third and was pleased to see that things were not as they initially seemed. No one brings down Al Ghul that easily.
Fuckin' A, that was some good story-telling right there. I can't say enough good things about this movie.
