I took the top off the Jeep. I'm no longer the wintertime pastie white! Pink is it!
It was beautiful this weekend, bright and sunny and in the low 80's.
I was out in it most of the weekend with Saturday being the busiest day.
I went to the Riverbats Baseball (AAA) game. Sat in the warm sun drinking ice cold beer and eating a fried bologna sandwich. Ummm! Got a good view of the air show while at the stadium. Saturday was the big Kentucky Derby Kickoff with Thunder of Louisville, the largest fireworks show in the U.S. They close down the Second Street Bridge, and from 2 barges in the middle of the river they simultaniously light off fireworks from the barges and the bridge. It's pretty impressive. The best is when they have the fireworks shooting off the bridge into the river, it looks just like a waterfall! 700,000 people on the banks of the Ohio River to watch the show. Anyway, Thunder starts 2 weeks of festivities leading up to the Derby. The Great Steamboat Race was always a favorite of mine.
