HOLY SHIT!
A neighbor of mine was shot in the head when he tried to stop a man who was raping his 13 year old daughter! Two doors down from me at 5 am Monday morning. Damn.
I knew something was up when I noticed 2 news crews from different stations interviewing people in my neighborhood. This is odd considering I live in a one horse farm town, news crews normally would drive through town and not even notice its a town.
The cops think the 'piece of shit' had been watching the house to know exactly when to strike. Apparently the Dad works nights and the Mom works days and there's a stretch of time in the morning when the kids are alone.
They did arrest the P.O.S. The father is in critical but stable condition and the girl was treated and released. Damn, I hate shit like this.
Gunshots are not uncommon in this nieghborhood. I've been here 10 years and remember a driveby shotting at the corner 20 yds. from my house about 7 years ago. I live 2 minutes from the police station but it took them 20 minutes to respond! Had to finish their donuts and coffee first! Another time a dickhead around the corner shot a stray dog, just to be an ass. Then of course New Years and 4th of July every redneck in town breaks out their shotguns.
