Almost a year had passed and Kibum still cannot move on from the previous break up he had with his boyfriend. His boyfriend played with him. He never thought that his boyfriend was just after his money and was seeing a girl behind his back. When he found out, he immediately broke up with the guy without having second thought even though he really loves him.
“I really can’t concentrate with my classes.” Kibum growled from his desk. He turned his head to the right and looked at the desk after the person next to him. “And there’s another distraction.” He sighed.
It was Jonghyun who was also looking at his direction and winking at him. He considers himself to be a die hard fan of Kibum. He has feelings for Kibum ever since. The problem is that he is famous for being the most stubborn student at school and it annoys the younger. Every during break or dismissal he will always unintentionally irritate Kibum by just simply trying to make a conversation or just by simply going near the younger. Everytime that happens he earns himself a slap or a punch on his arms from the latter. In short, Kibum is harassing him whenever he’s trying to talk to him but he doesn’t care. He is happy even he is physically and emotionally hurt as long as Kibum gives him any attention for that matter.
“I love you.” Jonghyun whispered from the back of Kibum who was eating at that moment.
Kibum jumped off from his seat. “I love you my ass!” he screamed as he by mistake dropped the burger he was eating because of shock. Everyone in the cafeteria is now staring at them while Jonghyun is smiling like hell because he had pissed Kibum again by accident. His face turned red and his heart beats like there’s no tomorrow. It was the first time Kibum heard that from the older; despite he knows that the other has really a crush on him for ages already. The latter just tapped his forehead and lowered his head because of the embarrassment.
“Get lost now, you dinosaur or I will make you extinct.” Kibum said with gritted teeth. His eyes were burning and his nostrils were expanding as he looked at the older straight into the eyes. Jonghyun pouted his lips and played with his fingers as he walked out of that place. Why can’t he make a good impression to his beloved classmate? Yeah! He is stubborn, lazy, mischievous, call him whatever but all he wanted is for Kibum to love him back. He is just stubborn because of Kibum. He is lazy because instead of doing his assignment he would write songs for the younger. He is just mischievous because he is trying to get the expected attention from Kibum but always failed. Actually, all the complaints for Jonghyun because of his attitude at the Guidance office were only from Kibum and not even one from other students. All those 101 protest against him recorded at the school’s offices from the administration up to the janitors were all only from Kibum who is greatly annoyed by his mere presence.
The scene from the cafeteria kept on repeating in Kibum’s mind that evening. He doesn’t know what he felt when he heard those three words from Jonghyun. Well, it’s not really a big deal but he feels like his face is becoming hotter everytime he is going to think about it. “Do I really hate that dinosaur?” he asked himself “or maybe I’m just playing hard to get.” He finds Jonghyun cute and charming, but he can’t understand why he wants the other to stay away from him.
The next day at school, the same thing happened. He was again driven mad by the older. Jonghyun had doodled a thousand times at the walls of their comfort room that day. It was filled with embarrassment for Kibum.
“I LOVE YOU, KIM KIBUM!” one of the male student who went to the C.R. read what’s on the wall. It was written in bold letters a thousand times everywhere at the C.R.
“JONGHYUN!” Kibum went out of the C.R. stumping his feet very hard with face red as tomato, nose excreting smoke like a dragon and eyes flashing red.
Jonghyun on the other hand was very satisfied on his work and peacefully lying at the school’s rooftop without knowing what is the reaction of Kibum just now.
BAAANNGGG!!! Jonghyun heard and he nearly jumped off from the roof top because of shock when the door opened loudly. “KIM JONGHYUN!” it was Kibum screaming his anger out to Jonghyun.
The older is very scared of Kibum’s expression. It’s more likely the younger is going to eat him up alive.
When Kibum saw the villain he really wanted to kill him right there and then. “You are really going to be dead.” Without further ado, Kibum jumped unto Jonghyun and both of them stumble on the roof. Jonghyun is now on his back with Kibum on top of him trying to strangle him.
“Wait!” a single word slip from Jonghyun’s mouth behind his gritted teeth while trying to defend himself. Despite of his situation he wanted to laugh when he saw the latter’s face which is very red. He knows that Kibum is not really angry. He is just embarrassed. He collected all his strength and energy, and then he rolled. Now, He is on the top of Kibum who is still screaming. He pinned the younger on the pavement to prevent him from doing anything.
“Shut up, Kibum” he said in a normal voice while still trying to stop the other from being wild. Kibum didn’t listen and continued screaming even louder.
“I said SHUT UP!” the older shouted impatiently in Kibum’s face. The latter immediately stopped and just blinked his eyes. He is now like a cute little puppy. “Better. Now, you look cuter if you will just stay like that.” Jonghyun said while still pinning Kibum’s hands.
Kibum instantly felt awkward and quite embarrassed of their current position. He just turned his head to the right and watched his pinned hands to avoid Jonghyun‘s gaze.
“Why are you angry?” the older asked “Do you like it?” but the younger just cutely pouted his lips still not looking the person on top of him.
“Silence means yes.” Jonghyun declared. “Ya! Why don’t you try to face me?”
“I don’t want to.” The younger finally spoke and Jonghyun can’t help but smile. “Stop smiling, you are stealing my heart.” His smile even got wider when he heard that from Kibum.
“Why do you keep on going near me despite of all the harassment I’m doing to you?” Kibum had finally looked at him straight into the eyes.
“because I love you.” Jonghyun answered shortly.
“Oh please, that’s so corny. That’s a lie. I know you are also feeling pain.” Kibum felt guilty because even he is being bad to the older, Jonghyun still said those three words. “Tell me exactly what do you think of me especially when I’m hurting you?”
Jonghyun looked at him deeper in the eyes and said “You’re my self-inflicted pain, a preposterous diversion, a momentary bliss, my blameworthy experience, my poisonous religion. You’re my annoyance yet you remain to be my only happiness, Kim Kibum.”
Kibum felt the butterflies in his stomach. When he felt the older’s grip loosen, he immediately grabbed the head of Jonghyun and pressed their lips together. They both felt like they are in heaven, in a never ending fantasy. They were like flying. When they both went back to reality they suddenly heard someone cough.
“You can continue that later but for the mean time, I want you Jonghyun to clean the mess you did at the C.R.” It was the principal who also immediately left the two.
Kibum cupped his hands to Jonghyun’s cheeks. “Don’t worry I’ll help you.” The two just chuckled as they stood up and went to the comfort room to clean.
