Donghae glanced at his cellphone for the tenth time. Still nothing. Eunhyuk hadn’t called or texted even once. Wow. Is he really that mad? Donghae kept fussing over the buttons, trying to figure out if he’s the one who should call the other guy. But he always failed to dial the number. He just didn’t know what to say. Besides, shouldn’t Eunhyuk call HIM and explain? He shook his head. Donghae decided to just let it be for the meantime. Sooner or later, he’ll be running along to me, I just know. Yup, of course he will. He quietly thought to himself.

‘Are you sure this will work?’ Eunhyuk looked at the younger guy uncertainly.
‘Trust me, with Donghae-hyung, this is the only way he’ll learn. If you’re expecting him to come running to you apologizing, then you’ve definitely got the wrong guy.’ Siwon winked and grinned.
‘Kay, I hope you’re right. I just don’t wanna make him too angry. Besides, yesterday was pretty much hell already. I don’t like to fight but that fish had just gotten on my nerves. In the end, this is what happened.’ Eunhyuk sighed.
‘Oh, he’ll be angry, all right. But that’s the charm of it. Besides, other than helping you knock some sense into Donghae-hyung’s childish mind, I can also have fun at the sidelines pissing him off. Haha. This oughta be fun.’ Siwon flashed a smile and laughed slightly.
‘Oh, boy.’ Eunhyuk muttered.

*at school*
Donghae tapped his finger continuously at his desk, his posture was uneasy, as he waited for a certain guy. He glanced around secretly. He’d been thinking all night and finally, he came to a decision. He’s gonna act mad and hurt about what had happened yesterday. That would definitely make Eunhyuk feel guilty and soon, he’ll be the one running back to him. Donghae grinned at the thought. He just knew it’ll work. Eunhyuk was predictable like that.
The classroom door bursted open once again and Donghae could see the targeted redhead making his way to the seat beside him. He’s finally here. Donghae quickly flipped open the pages of his book, pretending as if he was reading it all this while. He could hear a screech as Eunhyuk pulled out his chair and a thump when he dropped his bag. Donghae continued his so-called reading and just waited. He’s gonna crumble when he realizes I’m ignoring him. Yup, it’ll be anytime soon….Donghae can’t help but grin secretly.
And so, twenty minutes passed and apparently nothing happened. They were practically like, invisible to each other. Nobody said a word and they just remained at their positions. Donghae was getting uneasy. All his life, he’d never been ignored this way and yeah, it bothered him. He finally gave up. Slamming close his book, he turned and faced the one beside him.
‘So, you’re still mad?’
Eunhyuk slowly turned his head and to Donghae’s surprise, he smiled.
‘Oh, hey. What makes you think I’m mad? I’m not. In fact, I’m in such a good mood Donghae.’ He smiled, yet again.
‘Whuh…..I…Did you…forget what happened yesterday?’ Donghae looked confused. Of course yeah, he was glad they’re talking again but this was weird. Too weird.
‘Hmmm? Oh, that.’ Eunhyuk rolled his eyes. ‘Forget it. That was nothing. I’ve completely forgotten about it when Siwon dropped by yesterday after school.’ Eunhyuk casually said.
‘Oh. Thank God. I thought you were really mad. Glad we’re okay now. WAIT, WHATTT? SIWON?’ Donghae snapped when he realized what he heard.
‘Yeah, he dropped by to check up on me when he heard about the fight. He’s such a sweet guy. And after we talked you know, I wasn’t really mad anymore. So you should be thanking him.’ Eunhyuk beamed as he talked about Siwon.
Donghae blinked his eyes a few times, trying to digest what he just heard before his expression went dark.
‘Why the hell would he do that?! Even though he’s my friend, he has no fucking right to interfere!’ Donghae snapped.
Eunhyuk glared at him. ‘Hey, don’t talk about him like that. He has helped me. A LOT. At least someone cared about me and I’m grateful for that.’
‘Hey, I CARE. I don’t know if you noticed, but all this while, all I did was care about YOU.’ He pointed out.
‘Well, you sure have a weird way of showing it. So I guess playing with my head and feelings is the way you show that you ‘care’, huh?’
‘What the- so you ARE still mad. I don’t get it. No, I don’t get YOU. Why are you being so difficult?’
Eunhyuk stared at him, then decided it was not worth the shot. Even if he tells Donghae what’s bothering him, or that he’s tired of playing around and wanted to know if Donghae’s serious in this so-called relationship, he totally wouldn’t understand. He’ll probably just laugh it off and Eunhyuk would look like some desperate, clingy idiot.
‘Ugh, forget it.’ Eunhyuk brushed it off and turned away.
Donghae looked up and closed his eyes for a moment, trying to calm himself down.
‘Fine.’ He finally snapped.
‘FINE.’ Eunhyuk replied. And somehow the conversation ended with two pissed-off boys, who are now ignoring each other.

Donghae was mad. Yes, he was. He didn’t understand why Eunhyuk was behaving that way and it pissed the hell out of him. He hated what was going on and he just wanted to go back to normal with Eunhyuk but looking at the current situation, there’s no way one of them would give in. Donghae practically stormed to the cafeteria, ignoring the curious stares he’d been receiving along the hallway. Looking at his seat, he found Kyuhyun was already there, pressing the buttons furiously on his game console. Typical. His eyes wandered around, searching for a certain guy. Then, his sight landed on a boy sitting two tables away from him. Donghae’e eyebrows crossed. Why was Siwon sitting on a different table? They’ve never sat on a different table since the first day of school. Is he avoiding me? Donghae thought. Huh. So he’d realized what he’d done and maybe he’s scared. Donghae needed to have a few words with him.
‘Yah, Choi Siwon. We need to talk.’ Donghae said as he leaned on pressing his palms on the table.
Kyuhyun who was a few tables away, looked up when he heard the familiar voice. He was amused to find his two best friends going head to head and tension could be felt all the way from there.
‘Why?’ Siwon looked at him innocently.
‘Don’t give me that look. You perfectly know why.’ Donghae said.
‘Erm, no. I don’t. Besides, can’t you see that I’m busy?’ Siwon stated, raising the Bible in his hand, that he was previously reading.
‘I don’t give a damn. You and I need to talk. ‘ Donghae emphasized.
‘I’m sorry, but I can’t move from this spot. I’m waiting for someone.’ Siwon casually said.
‘Huh?’ Donghae looked at the younger guy weirdly.
‘Hyung, I forgot to tell you. I have a boyfriend now. So, I’m afraid I can’t hang out that much with you guys anymore. And today, if you don’t mind, I’m having my lunch with him.’ Siwon flashed his prince-like smile, earning a dumbfounded Donghae.
‘You…you…have a BOYFRIEND?’ Donghae’s eyebrows raised.
He immediately forgot the main reason he came here in the first place. So Siwon has a boyfriend now. Phew. What a relief. All that worrying about him stealing Eunhyuk away was just a waste. Siwon will probably be busy now with his new boyfriend and that oughta take his attention away from Eunhyuk. Donghae couldn’t help but smile at the thought.
‘Oh, I see. Well, sorry for bothering you. I’m happy for you, dude. And it’s fine, we don’t mind you spending the time with your boyfriend. I understand.’ Donghae winked as he smiled. ‘You should totally introduce him to us some time.’ He continued.
Siwon tried hard to contain his laughter seeing how Donghae’s emotions changed from a mad one to an amused one in just a blink of an eye. It was like watching a crazy person.
‘Yeah, sure.’ He finally said before Donghae leaving him and sitting at his usual place, in an obviously good mood.
‘What’s up with Siwon, hyung? Why is he sitting in a different table?’ Kyuhyun eyed him curiously as he sat beside him.
‘Oh, you would NOT believe it. Our Bible geek friend has a freaking BOYFRIEND.’
Donghae smirked as he said it.
Kyuhyun nearly choked on his own saliva. ‘You’re kidding me, right?’
Donghae shook his head. ‘No, I’m serious. That’s why he’s sitting there. He’s waiting for the guy cause they’re having lunch together today.’
Kyuhyun raised his eyebrows amusedly. ‘Well, then who’s the unfortunate fella? He must be blind or just plain crazy to agree being Siwon’s boyfriend.’
Donghae just laughed. ‘I don’t know. Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.’

Eunhyuk walked to the cafeteria furiously, thinking about the previous scene that just occurred in the classroom. He thought at least Donghae would apologize, but hell, guess he was wrong. Siwon was right, there’s no other way than to just carry on with their plan. Donghae is just too much of a stubborn head. Eunhyuk wanted to kick some sense into that stubborn mind of his.
Reaching there, he scanned through a sea of students, looking for Siwon. He smiled when his eyes landed on a tall figure, waving at him. Making his way to him, he also noticed Siwon was not sitting in their usual table. In fact, he had actually picked a table that was just a few steps away from Donghae’s. From afar, he could see Donghae and Kyuhyun looking at Siwon weirdly, but when Donghae’s eyes scanned around, looking for the guy Siwon’s waving to, and he saw Eunhyuk, his expression turned into a shocked one.
Eunhyuk made his way to the table, ignoring the two guys at the other table gawking at him.
‘Hey, Siwon. Have you been waiting long? I’m sorry for being late.’ Eunhyuk smiled his gummy smile as he sat beside him.
‘Nah, it’s just been a few minutes. It’s okay, Hyukkie.’ He threw back a smile, beaming.
On the other table, the two guys were pretty much astounded. Donghae looked back at Kyuhyun, his eyes wide as a fish, while Kyuhyun mouthed, ‘What the hell is going on?’
‘Wait. The boyfriend that he mentioned was……Eunhyuk?’ Kyuhyun finally let out.
Donghae couldn’t bring himself to reply to Kyuhyun, and he just turned back to the previous scene when he saw something that might blow his mind.

‘Do you think it’s working?’ Eunhyuk whispered at the younger guy.
‘Trust me, it is. This oughta teach him a lesson to appreciate YOU. Sometimes, with Donghae hyung, you just need to give him a kick in the butt to realize something.’
Eunhyuk laughed, throwing his head back.
‘But you know, he looks kinda emotionless right now. I was expecting him to come barge in already. He has never been this patient.’ Siwon muttered, as he glanced at his best friend. ‘Maybe……we just need to push him a little bit more.’
‘What do you mean?’ Eunhyuk looked at him, raising his eyebrows.
Siwon looked down at the redhead and grinned. The next thing he knows, the taller guy was leaning closer and a pair of lips came crashing down on him. Eunhyuk’s eyes widened as he realized he was being kissed by Siwon. At the cafeteria. In front of everyone.
‘YOU BASTARD!’
Eunhyuk could hear someone screaming in the background and out of the blue, Siwon was pulled away by the collar and a fist punched him right in the face. Eunhyuk gasped when he realized Siwon was being pinned by Donghae on the floor, and both of them are struggling as they exchanged punches.
‘NO, please STOP!’ Eunhyuk ran to the scene and pulled off the two boys apart before they kill each other. Both of them were panting furiously and apparently, all eyes in the cafeteria had gone to them. Everybody went silent. Eunhyuk was now between the two boys, his hands on their chests, pushing them apart.
Eunhyuk noticed they were both not taking their eyes off each other. Donghae’s look towards Siwon was full of hatred and it scared the hell out of Eunhyuk. Suddenly, Donghae looked down and caught Eunhyuk’s eyes. Eunhyuk couldn’t help but gasp when he suddenly grabbed his wrist and pulled him, dragging him away from the scene.
‘Donghae! What’re you doing?! Let me go!’ Eunhyuk struggled as Donghae’s grip got tighter and he continued to drag the poor redhead along. Donghae just kept walking emotionlessly, ignoring the hundreds pairs of eyes that were watching.
The next thing he knew, they were at the rooftop, Donghae’s secret place, and Donghae let go of his grip, turned around and faced the redhead.
‘WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?’ Donghae’s voice stormed through the rooftop.
‘Donghae…I…’ Eunhyuk honestly didn’t know what to say cause frankly, the kiss wasn’t actually a part of the plan. He never saw it coming.
‘We had ONE fight, and you just ran along to another guy? Are you that easy? Or are you just plain stupid to not see that he’s clearly taking advantage of you?!’ Donghae continued shouting.
Eunhyuk was taken aback by his choice of words. Donghae had never talked to him like that and truth to be told, Eunhyuk was kind of hurt by it.
‘How…how can you say that? That wasn’t the way it happened! I didn’t run along to another guy and he’s not taking advantage of me!’ Eunhyuk shouted back.
‘Well, then what do you call that?!’
‘He was just being a good friend, okay!’
Donghae snorted. ‘Huh. I didn’t know good friends kiss each other!’
Eunhyuk bit his bottom lip. ‘Look, about that, I-
‘How can you do that to me? How the hell do you think I felt when I saw you being kissed by HIM?’ Donghae’s tone of voice went louder.
‘Donghae-
‘So this is your way of getting back at me?! Well, I’m sorry if I made you mad before this, but don’t you think this is too much?’ Donghae slammed his fist across the wall, startling the redhead quite a bit.
‘I wasn’t getting back at you. I swear, the kiss was-
But Donghae cut him again before he could explain.
‘You know, when I met you, I found out you were a lot of things. But never would I have thought you were actually MEAN.’ Donghae said, his eyes never leaving the other boy’s.
Those words cut Eunhyuk like a knife. He could sense the hurt in Donghae’s tone of voice.
‘Do you have any idea how much I cared about you, how much I liked you? Do you know how much it hurts everytime I see you with HIM?’ Donghae gritted his teeth, holding back his tears.
Eunhyuk couldn’t help but blink back the tears he was holding back and let them run down his cheeks.
‘Hae, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I just thought-
‘Well, you just did. Congratulations. This was what you wanted, right? Seeing me in this horrible condition. Are you happy now?’ Donghae gave him one long look before turning around and walked away, leaving Eunhyuk at the rooftop.
As soon as he stepped out the door and was no longer visible, Eunhyuk crumbled to the ground, and broke into tears. He pulled his knees to his chest and buried his face in his folded arms, sobbing as he tried to shook off what just happened. He didn’t know it would actually hurt Donghae that much, and seeing his expression like that for the first time, Eunhyuk couldn’t help but feel hurt too.
‘Eunhyuk!’ A voice called out and he could hear someone running towards him.
Eunhyuk looked up, his eyes red and his face was wet with tears.
‘Siwon-ah~’ He said, before crying out again.
‘What is it? What happened?’ He bent down, putting his hands on the guy’s shoulders.
‘Donghae….He….I…’ Eunhyuk tried to speak between the sobs.
‘What is it with Donghae-hyung?! Did he hurt you?’ Siwon shook him slightly.
Eunhyuk shook his head as he wiped the tears away with his sleeve.
‘No, Siwon. It was me who hurt him. ME. What do I do now? He’s probably gonna hate me forever.’ Eunhyuk buried his face in his knees again.
Siwon quickly pulled him into his embrace and patted his back.
‘Shhh. It’s going to be all right. This is all my fault, so just let me fix it, okay. Now, stop crying.’

Siwon dialed the number again. It was the tenth time already.
‘Aish, this punk. Is he deliberately avoiding my calls?’ Siwon grunted then tried calling again.
To his surprise, at the third ring, someone picked up.
‘Hello?’
‘Hyung?’
‘Oh, Siwon-hyung. It’s me, Kyuhyun. Donghae-hyung can’t come to the phone right now.’
Siwon raised his eyebrows. ‘What? Why?’
‘Err, he’s out.’
‘I’m not stupid, Kyuhyun. He would never go out of the house without his cellphone.’
‘Oh, right. I mean, he was OUT in the bathroom. He’s constipated at the moment, so it’ll probably be a while before he gets out.’ The younger replied on the other line.
Siwon could hear someone’s head being slapped on the phone and a familiar voice screeching ‘You idiot! Couldn’t you use some other excuse? What is it with you and constipation?!’
Siwon rolled his eyes. That voice was definitely Donghae’s. These two punks are so predictable. Siwon knew them too well.
‘Yah. Pass the phone to Donghae-hyung right now or I swear I’ll break your game console one I see you. You know how serious I can be, Kyuhyun.’ Siwon stressed.
There was a moment of silence before he heard the phone being passed and he could hear a familiar breathing voice over the phone.
‘What. Do. You. Want?’ Donghae asked, after a while.
‘Finally. Look hyung, before you hang up, just listen to what I have to say first.’
‘And why should I? Isn’t it enough that you stole HIM away from me? Now you just have to make my life more miserable?!’
Siwon sighed. ‘Because. I know how much you like him, hyung. And I know how much he likes you. So if you don’t listen to what I’m gonna say, you’ll probably gonna regret it for the rest of your life.’
‘What….what do you mean?’ Donghae stuttered over the phone.
‘This is why I’ve been telling you to listen. So here’s the real deal………’

Donghae grabbed his car keys and without even giving it a second thought, he ran out of the house, heading to his car. Immediately starting the engine, he drove off as fast as he could. He knew he needed to see him. Now.
*Meanwhile….
After washing his face in the boys’ toilet, Eunhyuk picked up all the strength left in him and dragged his feet to walk. Walking along the hallways, he didn’t even realized everybody had went home. He had stayed too long crying in the bathroom stall after Siwon had left, saying that he had some business to take care of.
His tracks were immediately stopped when his eyes landed on a group of students that stood in the way of his path. He noticed they were all giving him the same disturbing look. One of them even glared at him. He tried to move past them, but to his surprise, they’d block him eveytime he’d try to walk.
‘Yah. Move. I’m not in the mood, okay.’ Eunhyuk was getting annoyed.
‘Are you Lee Hyukjae?’ One of the boys pointed at him, his eyebrows furrowed.
‘So what if I am? Do I know you people?’ He raised his eyebrows at them.
‘Well, you should. We’re the members of the school’s dance club. We heard what you did to our president.’ One of them balled up his fists.
‘What- Donghae? That’s none of your business. You guys should stay out of it.’ Eunhyuk sai, trying to hold back his tears. He could feel them coming back as he remembered the hurtful expression on Donghae’s face.
‘You humiliated him, and when that happens, it affects the club’s image and also, us. Who the hell do you think you are to do that? You just came to this school and you’ve already started making trouble? Do you think you’re even good enough to be with our president?! ’ They continued.
‘I told you, just stay out of it.’ Eunhyuk gritted his teeth, sending them a glare.
A boy slightly bigger than him laughed. ‘My,my. This punk has got a lot of guts’
‘Hey! Who you calling a punk, you asshole!’ Eunhyuk shouted back.
‘You brat!’ The big guy raised his hand, ready to take a blow to Eunhyuk’s face when someone shouted.
‘You lay your hands on him and I’ll make sure your life a living hell!’
They all turned around simultaneously. Eunhyuk who was covering his upper face with his arm, blinked at looked at the direction of the voice.
‘Donghae?.....’.
The brunette moved forward, his eyes were sharply fixed on the group of boys.
‘Yah! Yah! Yah! Yah!’ He shouted as he slapped each of the boys’ heads. ‘What the hell do you think you punks are doing?!’
‘Ah, President Lee…..we were just taking care of this brat. We heard what he did. How could he treat our president like that, right? Don’t worry, we got it all under control.’ The boy who was standing the most front said confidently as he grinned and winked.
‘You idiot. Who do you think you’re calling brat? His name is Lee Hyukjae and he’s my boyfriend. You’re lucky I made here in time. If you had hit him just now, I’d probably be beating the hell out of you right now.’ Donghae grabbed him by the collar as he hissed.
‘B-b-but, President…..he…’ the boy stuttered as Donghae’s face darkened.
‘Apologize.’ He simply said, as he finally released him and put both of his hands in his pockets.
‘But, you see….we just thought you wanted us to teach him a lesson. Remember how you said to always do this when someone pisses you off?’ the boy who was slightly shorter reasoned.
‘The only one who’ll be getting a lesson are you BRATS if you don’t apologize to him right now.’ Donghae hissed as he glared at them.
The group of boys simultaneously bowed clumsily as they muttered their ‘sorrys’ in a hurry to Eunhyuk and quickly left the scene. They were both now left alone. Eunhyuk gulped as he realized Donghae’s gaze were fixed on him and it was making him uncomfortable. He couldn’t quite figure out if he was mad, amused, annoyed or what. His expression was almost statue-like.
‘Err….thank you.’ Eunhyuk finally let out, scratching his head awkwardly.
Donghae raised his shoulders and shrugged. ‘Nah, that was nothing. I’ve always wanted to teach those punks a lesson.’
Silence again. Donghae looked at the redhead as he waited.
‘Do you…..have anything you’d like to say to me?’ Donghae took one step closer and tilted his head.
Eunhyuk blinked his eyes. His heart was beating furiously. Yes, yes. There was so much that he wanted to say. But after looking up and meeting those pair of brown eyes, he got tounge-tied. Biting his lip, he tried to arrange his speech.
‘So….nothing?’ Donghae looked disappointed. ‘Ok, then. I guess, I’ll be going now. Be careful on your way home. Don’t get into trouble again, arasso?’ Donghae nodded towards the redhead and smiled. He turned around and started to walk.
‘WAIT!’
Donghae stopped his tracks. He smiled widely, knowing that Eunhyuk couldn’t see his expression. Then, wiping away the smile, he turned around and gave him a weird look.
‘Neh?’
‘Donghae…I….’ Eunhyuk played with the sides of his blazer as he muttered. Aish, why is this so hard? He thought. He took a few steps nearer to Donghae, making the other guy raised his eyebrows.
‘I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY!’ Eunhyuk shouted as he walked forward and hugged Donghae, burying his face in the brunette’s chest. Donghae’s eyes got wide and his expression gradually turned into an amused one.
‘Hyu-hyukkie?’
‘I really am sorry, Hae. The thing is, Siwon and I made a plan. It was stupid, but I didn’t realize that at the time. And you know, somehow…the kiss happened and I totally didn’t see it coming and then you and Siwon fought then WE fought and-
His explanation was cut when he felt a pair of lips meeting his. Blinking his eyes, he finally realized Donghae was kissing him. He tried to pull away, but the brunette just pulled him closer and locked him in his arms. When they stopped, Donghae smiled and looked at the other boy, his arms still around his tiny body.
‘I know. Siwon told me everything.’ Donghae flashed him a smile.
‘He-he did?’ Eunhyuk was still in a daze from their previous kiss.
Donghae nodded and laughed. ‘Pabo. Did you really have to get that far to know that I sincerely care about you?’
Eunhyuk blushed and looked down.
‘I’m sorry. It was a stupid idea, I know. I just….wanted to know if you were serious in this. Because…..I am.’ Eunhyuk breathed out as he looked up and met Donghae’s eyes.
‘Well, then. Let me enlighten you on how serious I am.’ Donghae grinned as he bent down and caught Eunhyuk’s lips again.
‘I love you……I love you……I love you.’ He said that between the kisses as he smiled.
Eunhyuk swore he could feel his heart stopped hearing those three words. When Donghae finally pulled away, he held Eunhyuk’s face as he stroked his cheeks.
‘So don’t do anymore crazy stuff like that. Or you’d drive ME crazy.’
Eunhyuk laughed his gummy smile as he nodded ‘Okay.’
Donghae’s stomach fluttered at the sight. Eunhyuk’s smile could never fail to impress him. He seriously had never seen anyone as beautiful as him and frankly, if he could, he would hide him from the world so that nobody can see what he sees in him. It was selfish, he knew. But he didn’t care. This guy, Lee Hyukjae was gonna be his forever and he just knew.
‘I love you too, Lee Donghae. I love you too.’

P.S - The reason I just updated was because, first, I just have so much on my plate at the moment. What with school and everything. And the other week, I had attended Super Show 3 in Malaysia and I wasn’t home. So that’s why. Anyways, after getting back, it only just convinced me that EunHae was definitely real. With all the butt-slapping, secretly staring at each other and smiling when their eyes met, who could deny that these two dorks are freaking in love? Right? :D

Donghae kept fussing over the buttons, trying to figure out if he’s the one who should call the other guy. But he always failed to dial the number. He just didn’t know what to say. Besides, shouldn’t Eunhyuk call HIM and explain? He shook his head. Donghae decided to just let it be for the meantime. Sooner or later, he’ll be running along to me, I just know. Yup, of course he will. He quietly thought to himself.

‘Are you sure this will work?’ Eunhyuk looked at the younger guy uncertainly.
‘Trust me, with Donghae-hyung, this is the only way he’ll learn. If you’re expecting him to come running to you apologizing, then you’ve definitely got the wrong guy.’ Siwon winked and grinned.
‘Kay, I hope you’re right. I just don’t wanna make him too angry. Besides, yesterday was pretty much hell already. I don’t like to fight but that fish had just gotten on my nerves. In the end, this is what happened.’ Eunhyuk sighed.
‘Oh, he’ll be angry, all right. But that’s the charm of it. Besides, other than helping you knock some sense into Donghae-hyung’s childish mind, I can also have fun at the sidelines pissing him off. Haha. This oughta be fun.’ Siwon flashed a smile and laughed slightly.
‘Oh, boy.’ Eunhyuk muttered.

*at school*
Donghae tapped his finger continuously at his desk, his posture was uneasy, as he waited for a certain guy. He glanced around secretly. He’d been thinking all night and finally, he came to a decision. He’s gonna act mad and hurt about what had happened yesterday. That would definitely make Eunhyuk feel guilty and soon, he’ll be the one running back to him. Donghae grinned at the thought. He just knew it’ll work. Eunhyuk was predictable like that.
The classroom door bursted open once again and Donghae could see the targeted redhead making his way to the seat beside him. He’s finally here. Donghae quickly flipped open the pages of his book, pretending as if he was reading it all this while. He could hear a screech as Eunhyuk pulled out his chair and a thump when he dropped his bag. Donghae continued his so-called reading and just waited. He’s gonna crumble when he realizes I’m ignoring him. Yup, it’ll be anytime soon….Donghae can’t help but grin secretly.
And so, twenty minutes passed and apparently nothing happened. They were practically like, invisible to each other. Nobody said a word and they just remained at their positions. Donghae was getting uneasy. All his life, he’d never been ignored this way and yeah, it bothered him. He finally gave up. Slamming close his book, he turned and faced the one beside him.
‘So, you’re still mad?’
Eunhyuk slowly turned his head and to Donghae’s surprise, he smiled.
‘Oh, hey. What makes you think I’m mad? I’m not. In fact, I’m in such a good mood Donghae.’ He smiled, yet again.
‘Whuh…..I…Did you…forget what happened yesterday?’ Donghae looked confused. Of course yeah, he was glad they’re talking again but this was weird. Too weird.
‘Hmmm? Oh, that.’ Eunhyuk rolled his eyes. ‘Forget it. That was nothing. I’ve completely forgotten about it when Siwon dropped by yesterday after school.’ Eunhyuk casually said.
‘Oh. Thank God. I thought you were really mad. Glad we’re okay now. WAIT, WHATTT? SIWON?’ Donghae snapped when he realized what he heard.
‘Yeah, he dropped by to check up on me when he heard about the fight. He’s such a sweet guy. And after we talked you know, I wasn’t really mad anymore. So you should be thanking him.’ Eunhyuk beamed as he talked about Siwon.
Donghae blinked his eyes a few times, trying to digest what he just heard before his expression went dark.
‘Why the hell would he do that?! Even though he’s my friend, he has no fucking right to interfere!’ Donghae snapped.
Eunhyuk glared at him. ‘Hey, don’t talk about him like that. He has helped me. A LOT. At least someone cared about me and I’m grateful for that.’
‘Hey, I CARE. I don’t know if you noticed, but all this while, all I did was care about YOU.’ He pointed out.
‘Well, you sure have a weird way of showing it. So I guess playing with my head and feelings is the way you show that you ‘care’, huh?’
‘What the- so you ARE still mad. I don’t get it. No, I don’t get YOU. Why are you being so difficult?’
Eunhyuk stared at him, then decided it was not worth the shot. Even if he tells Donghae what’s bothering him, or that he’s tired of playing around and wanted to know if Donghae’s serious in this so-called relationship, he totally wouldn’t understand. He’ll probably just laugh it off and Eunhyuk would look like some desperate, clingy idiot.
‘Ugh, forget it.’ Eunhyuk brushed it off and turned away.
Donghae looked up and closed his eyes for a moment, trying to calm himself down.
‘Fine.’ He finally snapped.
‘FINE.’ Eunhyuk replied. And somehow the conversation ended with two pissed-off boys, who are now ignoring each other.

Donghae was mad. Yes, he was. He didn’t understand why Eunhyuk was behaving that way and it pissed the hell out of him. He hated what was going on and he just wanted to go back to normal with Eunhyuk but looking at the current situation, there’s no way one of them would give in. Donghae practically stormed to the cafeteria, ignoring the curious stares he’d been receiving along the hallway. Looking at his seat, he found Kyuhyun was already there, pressing the buttons furiously on his game console. Typical. His eyes wandered around, searching for a certain guy. Then, his sight landed on a boy sitting two tables away from him. Donghae’e eyebrows crossed. Why was Siwon sitting on a different table? They’ve never sat on a different table since the first day of school. Is he avoiding me? Donghae thought. Huh. So he’d realized what he’d done and maybe he’s scared. Donghae needed to have a few words with him.
‘Yah, Choi Siwon. We need to talk.’ Donghae said as he leaned on pressing his palms on the table.
Kyuhyun who was a few tables away, looked up when he heard the familiar voice. He was amused to find his two best friends going head to head and tension could be felt all the way from there.
‘Why?’ Siwon looked at him innocently.
‘Don’t give me that look. You perfectly know why.’ Donghae said.
‘Erm, no. I don’t. Besides, can’t you see that I’m busy?’ Siwon stated, raising the Bible in his hand, that he was previously reading.
‘I don’t give a damn. You and I need to talk. ‘ Donghae emphasized.
‘I’m sorry, but I can’t move from this spot. I’m waiting for someone.’ Siwon casually said.
‘Huh?’ Donghae looked at the younger guy weirdly.
‘Hyung, I forgot to tell you. I have a boyfriend now. So, I’m afraid I can’t hang out that much with you guys anymore. And today, if you don’t mind, I’m having my lunch with him.’ Siwon flashed his prince-like smile, earning a dumbfounded Donghae.
‘You…you…have a BOYFRIEND?’ Donghae’s eyebrows raised.
He immediately forgot the main reason he came here in the first place. So Siwon has a boyfriend now. Phew. What a relief. All that worrying about him stealing Eunhyuk away was just a waste. Siwon will probably be busy now with his new boyfriend and that oughta take his attention away from Eunhyuk. Donghae couldn’t help but smile at the thought.
‘Oh, I see. Well, sorry for bothering you. I’m happy for you, dude. And it’s fine, we don’t mind you spending the time with your boyfriend. I understand.’ Donghae winked as he smiled. ‘You should totally introduce him to us some time.’ He continued.
Siwon tried hard to contain his laughter seeing how Donghae’s emotions changed from a mad one to an amused one in just a blink of an eye. It was like watching a crazy person.
‘Yeah, sure.’ He finally said before Donghae leaving him and sitting at his usual place, in an obviously good mood.
‘What’s up with Siwon, hyung? Why is he sitting in a different table?’ Kyuhyun eyed him curiously as he sat beside him.
‘Oh, you would NOT believe it. Our Bible geek friend has a freaking BOYFRIEND.’
Donghae smirked as he said it.
Kyuhyun nearly choked on his own saliva. ‘You’re kidding me, right?’
Donghae shook his head. ‘No, I’m serious. That’s why he’s sitting there. He’s waiting for the guy cause they’re having lunch together today.’
Kyuhyun raised his eyebrows amusedly. ‘Well, then who’s the unfortunate fella? He must be blind or just plain crazy to agree being Siwon’s boyfriend.’
Donghae just laughed. ‘I don’t know. Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.’

Eunhyuk walked to the cafeteria furiously, thinking about the previous scene that just occurred in the classroom. He thought at least Donghae would apologize, but hell, guess he was wrong. Siwon was right, there’s no other way than to just carry on with their plan. Donghae is just too much of a stubborn head. Eunhyuk wanted to kick some sense into that stubborn mind of his.
Reaching there, he scanned through a sea of students, looking for Siwon. He smiled when his eyes landed on a tall figure, waving at him. Making his way to him, he also noticed Siwon was not sitting in their usual table. In fact, he had actually picked a table that was just a few steps away from Donghae’s. From afar, he could see Donghae and Kyuhyun looking at Siwon weirdly, but when Donghae’s eyes scanned around, looking for the guy Siwon’s waving to, and he saw Eunhyuk, his expression turned into a shocked one.
Eunhyuk made his way to the table, ignoring the two guys at the other table gawking at him.
‘Hey, Siwon. Have you been waiting long? I’m sorry for being late.’ Eunhyuk smiled his gummy smile as he sat beside him.
‘Nah, it’s just been a few minutes. It’s okay, Hyukkie.’ He threw back a smile, beaming.
On the other table, the two guys were pretty much astounded. Donghae looked back at Kyuhyun, his eyes wide as a fish, while Kyuhyun mouthed, ‘What the hell is going on?’
‘Wait. The boyfriend that he mentioned was……Eunhyuk?’ Kyuhyun finally let out.
Donghae couldn’t bring himself to reply to Kyuhyun, and he just turned back to the previous scene when he saw something that might blow his mind.

‘Do you think it’s working?’ Eunhyuk whispered at the younger guy.
‘Trust me, it is. This oughta teach him a lesson to appreciate YOU. Sometimes, with Donghae hyung, you just need to give him a kick in the butt to realize something.’
Eunhyuk laughed, throwing his head back.
‘But you know, he looks kinda emotionless right now. I was expecting him to come barge in already. He has never been this patient.’ Siwon muttered, as he glanced at his best friend. ‘Maybe……we just need to push him a little bit more.’
‘What do you mean?’ Eunhyuk looked at him, raising his eyebrows.
Siwon looked down at the redhead and grinned. The next thing he knows, the taller guy was leaning closer and a pair of lips came crashing down on him. Eunhyuk’s eyes widened as he realized he was being kissed by Siwon. At the cafeteria. In front of everyone.
‘YOU BASTARD!’
Eunhyuk could hear someone screaming in the background and out of the blue, Siwon was pulled away by the collar and a fist punched him right in the face. Eunhyuk gasped when he realized Siwon was being pinned by Donghae on the floor, and both of them are struggling as they exchanged punches.
‘NO, please STOP!’ Eunhyuk ran to the scene and pulled off the two boys apart before they kill each other. Both of them were panting furiously and apparently, all eyes in the cafeteria had gone to them. Everybody went silent. Eunhyuk was now between the two boys, his hands on their chests, pushing them apart.
Eunhyuk noticed they were both not taking their eyes off each other. Donghae’s look towards Siwon was full of hatred and it scared the hell out of Eunhyuk. Suddenly, Donghae looked down and caught Eunhyuk’s eyes. Eunhyuk couldn’t help but gasp when he suddenly grabbed his wrist and pulled him, dragging him away from the scene.
‘Donghae! What’re you doing?! Let me go!’ Eunhyuk struggled as Donghae’s grip got tighter and he continued to drag the poor redhead along. Donghae just kept walking emotionlessly, ignoring the hundreds pairs of eyes that were watching.
The next thing he knew, they were at the rooftop, Donghae’s secret place, and Donghae let go of his grip, turned around and faced the redhead.
‘WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?’ Donghae’s voice stormed through the rooftop.
‘Donghae…I…’ Eunhyuk honestly didn’t know what to say cause frankly, the kiss wasn’t actually a part of the plan. He never saw it coming.
‘We had ONE fight, and you just ran along to another guy? Are you that easy? Or are you just plain stupid to not see that he’s clearly taking advantage of you?!’ Donghae continued shouting.
Eunhyuk was taken aback by his choice of words. Donghae had never talked to him like that and truth to be told, Eunhyuk was kind of hurt by it.
‘How…how can you say that? That wasn’t the way it happened! I didn’t run along to another guy and he’s not taking advantage of me!’ Eunhyuk shouted back.
‘Well, then what do you call that?!’
‘He was just being a good friend, okay!’
Donghae snorted. ‘Huh. I didn’t know good friends kiss each other!’
Eunhyuk bit his bottom lip. ‘Look, about that, I-
‘How can you do that to me? How the hell do you think I felt when I saw you being kissed by HIM?’ Donghae’s tone of voice went louder.
‘Donghae-
‘So this is your way of getting back at me?! Well, I’m sorry if I made you mad before this, but don’t you think this is too much?’ Donghae slammed his fist across the wall, startling the redhead quite a bit.
‘I wasn’t getting back at you. I swear, the kiss was-
But Donghae cut him again before he could explain.
‘You know, when I met you, I found out you were a lot of things. But never would I have thought you were actually MEAN.’ Donghae said, his eyes never leaving the other boy’s.
Those words cut Eunhyuk like a knife. He could sense the hurt in Donghae’s tone of voice.
‘Do you have any idea how much I cared about you, how much I liked you? Do you know how much it hurts everytime I see you with HIM?’ Donghae gritted his teeth, holding back his tears.
Eunhyuk couldn’t help but blink back the tears he was holding back and let them run down his cheeks.
‘Hae, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I just thought-
‘Well, you just did. Congratulations. This was what you wanted, right? Seeing me in this horrible condition. Are you happy now?’ Donghae gave him one long look before turning around and walked away, leaving Eunhyuk at the rooftop.
As soon as he stepped out the door and was no longer visible, Eunhyuk crumbled to the ground, and broke into tears. He pulled his knees to his chest and buried his face in his folded arms, sobbing as he tried to shook off what just happened. He didn’t know it would actually hurt Donghae that much, and seeing his expression like that for the first time, Eunhyuk couldn’t help but feel hurt too.
‘Eunhyuk!’ A voice called out and he could hear someone running towards him.
Eunhyuk looked up, his eyes red and his face was wet with tears.
‘Siwon-ah~’ He said, before crying out again.
‘What is it? What happened?’ He bent down, putting his hands on the guy’s shoulders.
‘Donghae….He….I…’ Eunhyuk tried to speak between the sobs.
‘What is it with Donghae-hyung?! Did he hurt you?’ Siwon shook him slightly.
Eunhyuk shook his head as he wiped the tears away with his sleeve.
‘No, Siwon. It was me who hurt him. ME. What do I do now? He’s probably gonna hate me forever.’ Eunhyuk buried his face in his knees again.
Siwon quickly pulled him into his embrace and patted his back.
‘Shhh. It’s going to be all right. This is all my fault, so just let me fix it, okay. Now, stop crying.’

Siwon dialed the number again. It was the tenth time already.
‘Aish, this punk. Is he deliberately avoiding my calls?’ Siwon grunted then tried calling again.
To his surprise, at the third ring, someone picked up.
‘Hello?’
‘Hyung?’
‘Oh, Siwon-hyung. It’s me, Kyuhyun. Donghae-hyung can’t come to the phone right now.’
Siwon raised his eyebrows. ‘What? Why?’
‘Err, he’s out.’
‘I’m not stupid, Kyuhyun. He would never go out of the house without his cellphone.’
‘Oh, right. I mean, he was OUT in the bathroom. He’s constipated at the moment, so it’ll probably be a while before he gets out.’ The younger replied on the other line.
Siwon could hear someone’s head being slapped on the phone and a familiar voice screeching ‘You idiot! Couldn’t you use some other excuse? What is it with you and constipation?!’
Siwon rolled his eyes. That voice was definitely Donghae’s. These two punks are so predictable. Siwon knew them too well.
‘Yah. Pass the phone to Donghae-hyung right now or I swear I’ll break your game console one I see you. You know how serious I can be, Kyuhyun.’ Siwon stressed.
There was a moment of silence before he heard the phone being passed and he could hear a familiar breathing voice over the phone.
‘What. Do. You. Want?’ Donghae asked, after a while.
‘Finally. Look hyung, before you hang up, just listen to what I have to say first.’
‘And why should I? Isn’t it enough that you stole HIM away from me? Now you just have to make my life more miserable?!’
Siwon sighed. ‘Because. I know how much you like him, hyung. And I know how much he likes you. So if you don’t listen to what I’m gonna say, you’ll probably gonna regret it for the rest of your life.’
‘What….what do you mean?’ Donghae stuttered over the phone.
‘This is why I’ve been telling you to listen. So here’s the real deal………’

Donghae grabbed his car keys and without even giving it a second thought, he ran out of the house, heading to his car. Immediately starting the engine, he drove off as fast as he could. He knew he needed to see him. Now.
*Meanwhile….
After washing his face in the boys’ toilet, Eunhyuk picked up all the strength left in him and dragged his feet to walk. Walking along the hallways, he didn’t even realized everybody had went home. He had stayed too long crying in the bathroom stall after Siwon had left, saying that he had some business to take care of.
His tracks were immediately stopped when his eyes landed on a group of students that stood in the way of his path. He noticed they were all giving him the same disturbing look. One of them even glared at him. He tried to move past them, but to his surprise, they’d block him eveytime he’d try to walk.
‘Yah. Move. I’m not in the mood, okay.’ Eunhyuk was getting annoyed.
‘Are you Lee Hyukjae?’ One of the boys pointed at him, his eyebrows furrowed.
‘So what if I am? Do I know you people?’ He raised his eyebrows at them.
‘Well, you should. We’re the members of the school’s dance club. We heard what you did to our president.’ One of them balled up his fists.
‘What- Donghae? That’s none of your business. You guys should stay out of it.’ Eunhyuk sai, trying to hold back his tears. He could feel them coming back as he remembered the hurtful expression on Donghae’s face.
‘You humiliated him, and when that happens, it affects the club’s image and also, us. Who the hell do you think you are to do that? You just came to this school and you’ve already started making trouble? Do you think you’re even good enough to be with our president?! ’ They continued.
‘I told you, just stay out of it.’ Eunhyuk gritted his teeth, sending them a glare.
A boy slightly bigger than him laughed. ‘My,my. This punk has got a lot of guts’
‘Hey! Who you calling a punk, you asshole!’ Eunhyuk shouted back.
‘You brat!’ The big guy raised his hand, ready to take a blow to Eunhyuk’s face when someone shouted.
‘You lay your hands on him and I’ll make sure your life a living hell!’
They all turned around simultaneously. Eunhyuk who was covering his upper face with his arm, blinked at looked at the direction of the voice.
‘Donghae?.....’.
The brunette moved forward, his eyes were sharply fixed on the group of boys.
‘Yah! Yah! Yah! Yah!’ He shouted as he slapped each of the boys’ heads. ‘What the hell do you think you punks are doing?!’
‘Ah, President Lee…..we were just taking care of this brat. We heard what he did. How could he treat our president like that, right? Don’t worry, we got it all under control.’ The boy who was standing the most front said confidently as he grinned and winked.
‘You idiot. Who do you think you’re calling brat? His name is Lee Hyukjae and he’s my boyfriend. You’re lucky I made here in time. If you had hit him just now, I’d probably be beating the hell out of you right now.’ Donghae grabbed him by the collar as he hissed.
‘B-b-but, President…..he…’ the boy stuttered as Donghae’s face darkened.
‘Apologize.’ He simply said, as he finally released him and put both of his hands in his pockets.
‘But, you see….we just thought you wanted us to teach him a lesson. Remember how you said to always do this when someone pisses you off?’ the boy who was slightly shorter reasoned.
‘The only one who’ll be getting a lesson are you BRATS if you don’t apologize to him right now.’ Donghae hissed as he glared at them.
The group of boys simultaneously bowed clumsily as they muttered their ‘sorrys’ in a hurry to Eunhyuk and quickly left the scene. They were both now left alone. Eunhyuk gulped as he realized Donghae’s gaze were fixed on him and it was making him uncomfortable. He couldn’t quite figure out if he was mad, amused, annoyed or what. His expression was almost statue-like.
‘Err….thank you.’ Eunhyuk finally let out, scratching his head awkwardly.
Donghae raised his shoulders and shrugged. ‘Nah, that was nothing. I’ve always wanted to teach those punks a lesson.’
Silence again. Donghae looked at the redhead as he waited.
‘Do you…..have anything you’d like to say to me?’ Donghae took one step closer and tilted his head.
Eunhyuk blinked his eyes. His heart was beating furiously. Yes, yes. There was so much that he wanted to say. But after looking up and meeting those pair of brown eyes, he got tounge-tied. Biting his lip, he tried to arrange his speech.
‘So….nothing?’ Donghae looked disappointed. ‘Ok, then. I guess, I’ll be going now. Be careful on your way home. Don’t get into trouble again, arasso?’ Donghae nodded towards the redhead and smiled. He turned around and started to walk.
‘WAIT!’
Donghae stopped his tracks. He smiled widely, knowing that Eunhyuk couldn’t see his expression. Then, wiping away the smile, he turned around and gave him a weird look.
‘Neh?’
‘Donghae…I….’ Eunhyuk played with the sides of his blazer as he muttered. Aish, why is this so hard? He thought. He took a few steps nearer to Donghae, making the other guy raised his eyebrows.
‘I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY! I’M SORRY!’ Eunhyuk shouted as he walked forward and hugged Donghae, burying his face in the brunette’s chest. Donghae’s eyes got wide and his expression gradually turned into an amused one.
‘Hyu-hyukkie?’
‘I really am sorry, Hae. The thing is, Siwon and I made a plan. It was stupid, but I didn’t realize that at the time. And you know, somehow…the kiss happened and I totally didn’t see it coming and then you and Siwon fought then WE fought and-
His explanation was cut when he felt a pair of lips meeting his. Blinking his eyes, he finally realized Donghae was kissing him. He tried to pull away, but the brunette just pulled him closer and locked him in his arms. When they stopped, Donghae smiled and looked at the other boy, his arms still around his tiny body.
‘I know. Siwon told me everything.’ Donghae flashed him a smile.
‘He-he did?’ Eunhyuk was still in a daze from their previous kiss.
Donghae nodded and laughed. ‘Pabo. Did you really have to get that far to know that I sincerely care about you?’
Eunhyuk blushed and looked down.
‘I’m sorry. It was a stupid idea, I know. I just….wanted to know if you were serious in this. Because…..I am.’ Eunhyuk breathed out as he looked up and met Donghae’s eyes.
‘Well, then. Let me enlighten you on how serious I am.’ Donghae grinned as he bent down and caught Eunhyuk’s lips again.
‘I love you……I love you……I love you.’ He said that between the kisses as he smiled.
Eunhyuk swore he could feel his heart stopped hearing those three words. When Donghae finally pulled away, he held Eunhyuk’s face as he stroked his cheeks.
‘So don’t do anymore crazy stuff like that. Or you’d drive ME crazy.’
Eunhyuk laughed his gummy smile as he nodded ‘Okay.’
Donghae’s stomach fluttered at the sight. Eunhyuk’s smile could never fail to impress him. He seriously had never seen anyone as beautiful as him and frankly, if he could, he would hide him from the world so that nobody can see what he sees in him. It was selfish, he knew. But he didn’t care. This guy, Lee Hyukjae was gonna be his forever and he just knew.
‘I love you too, Lee Donghae. I love you too.’
