Eunhyuk didn’t even know how it started. All he remembered was Donghae getting closer and something soft hit his lips. It was pretty much blurry right after that. He never knew kissing was this good. He never knew it was something that could actually make him feel this way. Gosh, he wasn’t even aware that he was kissing him back! As his hands traveled to Donghae’s neck and wrapped around it, he finally realized something.
Eunhyuk broke the kiss and pulled his head back. Donghae got quite shocked and stared at him, wide-eyed.
‘Donghae!! You’re burning hot!!’ Eunhyuk exclaimed.
Donghae smirked, of course, and replied ‘Yeah, I know that already.’
Eunhyuk rolled his eyes ‘I’m not saying you’re HOT, conceited. What I meant was, your body temperature is rising. Seriously, how bad is your fever?’
Eunhyuk looked worried as he laid his palm against Donghae’s forehead.
‘I’m fine….’ Donghae insisted ‘Wait, weren’t we kissing just now?’
Eunhyuk ignored the obvious question and pulled him to bed.
‘No, you’re not fine. I can practically feel the heat from your body even without touching it. You need to go to bed. NOW.’ Eunhyuk said, forcing him with all his might to make him lie down under the covers.
‘But Hyukkie, I wanna keep kissing you~’ Donghae pouted.
Eunhyuk couldn’t help but blush at Donghae’s statement. How could he just say that like it’s a normal thing? It was their FIRST kiss, after all. He got up and straddled his backpack.
‘Yeah, listen. I gotta go home. See you later at school.’ He tried as hard as he could to avoid eye-contact with the brunette.
Donghae quickly grabbed his wrist before Eunhyuk could even make a move.
‘That’s it? You’re just going?’ Donghae asked him.
‘Well, yeah. What else do you expect me to do?’
‘But I’m sick. Can’t you stay a little longer?’ Donghae gave him the most adorable puppy-eyes look he could make.
Eunhyuk gulped. He knew that if he were to stay longer, things might get weird. He knows Donghae won’t be able to control himself. Then who knows what’ll happen?
‘Donghae, you have nurses and butlers all to yourself. Seriously, I bet your mansion even has more facilities than a hospital. I’m sure you would be well taken care of.’ Eunhyuk sighed.
Donghae looked down. ‘But it’s not the same. I just thought it would be nice to have some company and I really wanted to spend more time with you.’
Eunhyuk felt that pang of guilt again. Boy, this guy is really good at twisting his words and manipulating others’ minds.
‘Look. Just get better first, okay? Then, I promise we can do anything you want to.’ Eunhyuk gave him an assuring smile. He didn’t know why, but Donghae has the abilities to make him say things that he usually wouldn’t say. He barely knows the guy and yet, he felt like they had known each other for years.
‘Oh, so I can kiss you more when I get better?’ Donghae grinned.
‘NO! That’s not what I meant! I- uh- never mind. You’re impossible.’ Eunhyuk grunted for the last time and went out of the room, tryng hard to hide his red face. Donghae on the other hand, kept snickering on his bed. Eunhyuk’s reaction were just too cute and boy, he definitely loved to tease him.

*Next day, at school*
Eunhyuk pouted as he stared at the seat next to him. It was empty. Was Donghae still sick? He should’ve called him or something. No, wait. He shouldn’t. It would give Donghae the wrong idea. But then, they’ve already kissed anyway. Eunhyuk mentally slapped himself. LEE HYUKJAE! What are you thinking? That was just a mistake. Right, it was probably just the raging hormones of a teenager, Eunhyuk thought. Yes, that’s probably it. Eunhyuk kept assuring himself.
Just then, a pair of hands wrapped around his waist, causing him to jerk up slightly.
‘Missed me, baby?’ a voice he was too familiar with, whispered in his ear.
‘Donghae! You’re better already?’ Eunhyuk turned around, excitedly. Then, he quickly changed his expression. ‘I mean, what are you doing here? You should just stay at home. And NO, I do NOT miss you.’
Donghae smirked. Eunhyuk was a lousy liar, and he could clearly see that.
‘Well, I’m feeling a LOT better since our kiss yesterday, Hyukkie. So, thanks to you, I’m healthy again.’ Donghae said, taking his seat next to Eunhyuk.
Eunhyuk’s eyes went wide and he quickly covered Donghae’s mouth with his hands.
‘Shhh!! What the- People will hear you!! And listen here, that kiss yesterday, was an accidental one. I was not in my right mind, so let’s just pretend it didn’t happen, okay?’ Eunhyuk said quietly through his teeth.
‘So we’re back to square one.’ Donghae sighed ‘Why can’t you just admit that you like me too?’
‘Because I don’t. Now stop bothering me and please move away further. People are starting to look this way.’ Eunhyuk turned, took out his book from his bag and started reading.
Eunhyuk could feel Donghae’s still staring at him and truthfully, you can’t really concentrate on reading when someone’s practically breathing down your neck. He turned to glare at the brunette and saw him grinning mischievously , a glint visible in his eyes. Eunhyuk knew that look too well. It means he’s up to something. And that something is definitely not good.
‘What now?’ Eunhyuk had to ask.
Then, before he knew it, Donghae stood up and took Eunhyuk’s hand, forcing him to get up too.
‘What the-
‘Listen here, everyone!!’ He was now standing on his chair and one of his hands is holding Eunhyuk’s tightly. The other students, who were previously busy with their own stuff, turned around simultaneously and turned to the voice they heard.
Eunhyuk tugged at his school blazer continuously.
‘Yah!! What are you doing? Let me go. You’re embarrassing us.’ Eunhyuk gritted his teeth.
Donghae ignored the panic-looking Eunhyuk and just grinned.
‘I think everyone should know that now, this boy, Lee Hyukjae, belongs to me. I’ve claimed him so if anybody ever dare to even come near him or even mess with him, you will have to face me first.’ He publicly announced, earning a few gasps and shocked reactions from their classmates. Some of the girls even started crying, knowing that Lee Donghae was finally with someone.
‘LEE DONGHAE! Take back what you said right now, or I swear I’ll-
‘Or you will what? Kiss me again?’ Donghae jumped down from the chair and leaned down to Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk could only stare at him in disbelief.
The whole class started talking simultaneously. Some even took out their cellphones and started texting their friends. By now, the whole school would probably know about him and Donghae.
‘Oh, great.’ Eunhyuk buried his face in his folded arms on his table.

‘I seriously cannot believe you did that. Thank you for making my life a living hell.’ Eunhyuk said, as they walked on their way to the cafeteria.
‘You’re welcome.’ Donghae smiled in return. Eunhyuk just replied with a glare.
‘Aww, baby. I don’t get what you’re so upset about. I was just stating the facts. Since I’ve kissed you, that officially makes you mine right?’
‘First of all, I’m not your baby. So stop calling me that. And secondly, that does not make me yours. Besides, I don’t even like you.’ Eunyhyuk stated.
‘Oh, really? Then you shouldn’t have kissed me back yesterday. Such a tease. I never knew you were such a good kisser.’ Donghae smirked.
‘You’re crazy. Seriously, I’ve never met someone as crazy as-
‘Uhh…hyung?’ a voice from behind called out.
They both turned at once upon hearing the familiar voice. There, stood Siwon and the other fellow, Kyuhyun, who was too busy blowing up spaceships in his virtual world.
‘Uhh, what’s all this commotion about? You guys okay?’ Siwon walked towards them, followed by Kyuhyun.
‘Oh, hi, Siwon.’ Donghae immediately took Eunhyuk’s hand and intertwined it with his. Donghae didn’t know why, but he always had this over-protective feeling whenever Siwon or other guys are around Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk tried to escape, but he gave up halfway. He knew there’s no way he could win.
‘It’s nothing. It’s just… Hyukkie here…’ He slipped a hand around the redhead’s tiny waist ‘won’t admit that he liked me too even after our kiss yesterday.’ He finished the sentence with an honest smile.
‘DONGHAE!’ Eunhyuk elbowed him, though earning zero reaction from the guy as he just ignored him.
Siwon was pretty much speechless. He tried to open his mouth at first, but it didn’t work out. Finally, Kyuhyun was the one to break the silence.
‘You guys kissed? Puahahaha.’ He laughed, an amused reaction never left his face, ‘This is epic! Ahh, and I thought this little monkey is innocent. Turns out you’re just as perverted as Donghae-hyung!’ Kyuhyun teased the redhead.
Siwon got annoyed and shoved Kyuhyun’s face away with his hands. Kyuhyun just scrunched his nose and muttered a few curses under his breath.
‘So…..does that mean you guys are official?’ Siwon asked, his face turning dark, and he could only bear to look at the floor.
‘No, we’re-‘ Eunhyuk tried to answer but was cut by Donghae.
‘I think that’s obvious, Siwon.’ He noticed the change of expression on Siwon’s face and decided he should get serious too.
Kyuhyun too, noticed the tension going on and clearly, he was quite amused. It’s been quite a while since his best friends were acting this way. He remembered, the last time they had gotten into a fight was when they were eight years old. And that was because they had wanted the same toy robot. Now, it seems like Eunhyuk’s the live version of the toy robot.
Eunhyuk on the other hand, hated these kind of situations. And unlike, Donghae, he wasn’t aware of Siwon’s feelings towards him. That’s why he still doesn’t get the tension going on between them and why Donghae would go berserk everytime Siwon’s around.
‘Guys, let’s just go. Why are we even wasting our time here? It’s recess. Donghae and I are just heading to the cafeteria. Care to join us?’ Eunhyuk asked the other two boys.
‘No, actually, we’re not. You and Kyuhyun go on first. I don’t think we’ll be joining you guys for today.’ Donghae just smiled at his two friends. Kyuhyun and Siwon gave him a weird look.
‘What? But Donghae..I’m hungry…..’ Eunhyuk complained.
‘See you guys later.’ Donghae waved slightly, and dragged the still-complaining Eunhyuk away. They walked and walked until at one point, Eunhyuk just had to ask.
‘Where are we going?’
‘You’ll see.’ Donghae turned just to give him a smile, leaving him even more curious.
‘Oh, why did I even bother asking’ Eunhyuk muttered to himself.

‘Whoa~ this is awesome. Like, really really awesome. I can practically see everything from up here.’ Eunhyuk was gushing like a small kid. He put his hands together and his eyes were practically shining.
Donghae laughed seeing Eunhyuk’s expression.
‘Yeah, I know right.’ Donghae nodded. ‘You should be proud to have me as your boyfriend otherwise, you never would have managed to get to the school’s rooftop. Nobody’s allowed up here.’
‘Then, how did you get the key to open the door to the rooftop just now?’ Eunhyuk turned and stared weirdly at the brunette.
Donghae grinned and scooted closer.
‘I have my ways.’ He said, not forgetting to let out his smile.
‘Show-off.’ Eunhyuk stuck out his tounge.
Donghae threw his head back and laughed again. Seriously, Eunhyuk’s probably the only person who could say that and be still alive. If it was some other kid, Donghae probably would’ve beaten him up or something.
It suddenly went silent, and they both just stared at the sky without even saying anything. Donghae was never the person to stay quiet for a period of time but with Eunhyuk, he thought he could just stay with him and do nothing for a hundred years and he would never get bored. Just the presence of the redhead made him excited all over.
‘You know…..’ Donghae spoke out, after a while.
‘Hmm?....’ Eunhyuk was still staring at the sky.
‘I always come here whenever I feel like thinking or when I feel kinda down.’
Eunhyuk turned to face the brunette as he said that. His tone of voice is somehow different. He sounded so, sincere and deep down, he could feel the sadness in his voice.
‘Really?’
‘Yup. I never told anyone about this place. Not even those two little brats I call friends.’ He smirked, remembering how the two guys would always go crazy looking for him when he’s at the rooftop. They would always force him to spill out where he’s been hiding, but they never managed to make him say it.
‘But…you told me. Why?’ Eunhyuk looked at him as Donghae kept staring at the sky.
‘I just felt like you were the right person to tell.’ He turned suddenly, making him face-to-face with Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk was too shocked to react, and he could only stare into the other guy’s brown eyes.
‘So, keep it a secret, neh?’ He smiled again, at the flushing Eunhyuk. He loved making him blush. It seriously is the most beautiful thing he’s ever set his sight on and frankly, he wished nobody else would ever see it. He sounded selfish, he knew, but he didn’t care. He wanted Eunhyuk all by himself.
Eunhyuk swore he could feel his heart skipped a beat when Donghae turned to face him. Their faces were so close, Eunhyuk could see every single detail of the other guy’s face and now he understood why they called him a smiling angel. Eunhyuk couldn’t understand the things he were feeling right then. It was so complicated, so messy. But when Donghae smiled at him, everything just seemed so simple and he just felt like nothing else mattered in the world. He knew he shouldn’t feel that way, it’s just wrong….but why does his heart kept saying the opposite?
‘Hyukkie…..’
‘Y-y-yeah?’ Eunhyuk gulped.
He could feel Donghae’s face getting nearer and he thought he knew what was going to happen. Donghae is about to kiss him again. Oh, God. What should he do? Should he run? Or just go with it? Oh, the lord of Monkeys, please help me! He thought to himself. It was too late, Donghae was just an inch away from him. Eunhyuk just shut his eyes, and waited. And he knew he would regret this later.

It suddenly went silent, and they both just stared at the sky without even saying anything. Donghae was never the person to stay quiet for a period of time but with Eunhyuk, he thought he could just stay with him and do nothing for a hundred years and he would never get bored. Just the presence of the redhead made him excited all over.
‘You know…..’ Donghae spoke out, after a while.
‘Hmm?....’ Eunhyuk was still staring at the sky.
‘I always come here whenever I feel like thinking or when I feel kinda down.’
Eunhyuk turned to face the brunette as he said that. His tone of voice is somehow different. He sounded so, sincere and deep down, he could feel the sadness in his voice.
‘Really?’
‘Yup. I never told anyone about this place. Not even those two little brats I call friends.’ He smirked, remembering how the two guys would always go crazy looking for him when he’s at the rooftop. They would always force him to spill out where he’s been hiding, but they never managed to make him say it.
‘But…you told me. Why?’ Eunhyuk looked at him as Donghae kept staring at the sky.
‘I just felt like you were the right person to tell.’ He turned suddenly, making him face-to-face with Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk was too shocked to react, and he could only stare into the other guy’s brown eyes.
‘So, keep it a secret, neh?’ He smiled again, at the flushing Eunhyuk. He loved making him blush. It seriously is the most beautiful thing he’s ever set his sight on and frankly, he wished nobody else would ever see it. He sounded selfish, he knew, but he didn’t care. He wanted Eunhyuk all by himself.
Eunhyuk swore he could feel his heart skipped a beat when Donghae turned to face him. Their faces were so close, Eunhyuk could see every single detail of the other guy’s face and now he understood why they called him a smiling angel. Eunhyuk couldn’t understand the things he were feeling right then. It was so complicated, so messy. But when Donghae smiled at him, everything just seemed so simple and he just felt like nothing else mattered in the world. He knew he shouldn’t feel that way, it’s just wrong….but why does his heart kept saying the opposite?
‘Hyukkie…..’
‘Y-y-yeah?’ Eunhyuk gulped.
He could feel Donghae’s face getting nearer and he thought he knew what was going to happen. Donghae is about to kiss him again. Oh, God. What should he do? Should he run? Or just go with it? Oh, the lord of Monkeys, please help me! He thought to himself. It was too late, Donghae was just an inch away from him. Eunhyuk just shut his eyes, and waited. And he knew he would regret this later.
