Lee Hyuk Jae watched him as he fooled around with the other members on the court. It was a breezy Friday evening when Super Junior was playing a round of basketball. Eunhyuk was too tired that day. He needed a break from their busy schedule. Besides, when would he ever get the chance again to see Donghae jumping and running around cutely?
As Siwon managed to catch the ball for the seventh time, Donghae bent down, putting his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. He looked up and caught Eunhyuk’s eyes. Donghae couldn’t stop himself to smile. Truthfully, Donghae had been in love with Eunhyuk ever since they debuted but he didn’t want to ruin their friendship so he just kept it to himself. Quickly looking away, Donghae tried not to think about it. Every time he caught up on the fact that they would never be together, his heart hurts badly. Thus, he decided to just let it be and stayed by Eunhyuk’s side as long as he can.
Eunhyuk’s stomach was filled with butterflies when Donghae looked at him and smiled. Damn you, Fishy. When are you ever gonna learn that your smile makes me go crazy? Eunhyuk continued drawing in his sketchbook, ignoring his hyungs and dongsaengs struggling on the court. He was drawing a picture of Donghae. It was his ninth sketch that month. Somehow, he just can’t stop drawing the face of the one he loves.
‘YAH….Eunhyukkie~~ What are you doing?’ a rough hand slapped his back.
Eunhyuk quickly buried the sketch pad into his chest.
Siwon pulled his eyebrows together.
‘What the-‘
‘Ahh…it’s you.’ Eunhyuk let out a sigh of relief. ‘I thought you were someone else. If it was, then I’d be dead by now.’
‘You’re drawing pictures of him again?’ Siwon asked, sitting down beside Eunhyuk.
‘Yeah.’ Eunhyuk blushed.
Siwon sighed and looked at him.
‘Just tell him already, will you?’
‘I can’t do that.’ Eunhyuk looked away.
‘Why not?’
‘He doesn’t feel the same way.’ Eunhyuk said with a shrug.
‘And how would you know that?’Siwon looked at him ridiculously.
‘I just know, okay! He doesn’t react to me the way I do to him’
‘You mean like….’
‘I get nervous around him all the time. Everytime he touches me, I get goosebumps. Even when he playfully kisses me on stage, my knees go weak and I lose my focus.’
‘And what about Donghae?’ Siwon asked attentively.
‘He doesn’t react to anything…he’s just being….himself.’ Eunhyuk bit his bottom lip.
They were both quiet for a while. Suddenly, Siwon snapped his fingers and grinned towards Eunhyuk.
‘What? Why are you making that weird horse face again?’ Eunhyuk leaned away from him.
‘I’ve got an idea. I mean, it’s pretty weird but I think it’ll work.’
‘Okay…I’m listening.’ Eunhyuk turned his body toward Siwon. He was interested.
Siwon flashed him a mischievous grin.

‘Everyone!! Can you guys gather around the living room, please? I have something important to announce.’
Heechul groaned loudly. ‘Yah!! I’m already tired from the basketball game. Can’t we do it some other time?’
‘Yeah, and everybody kinda smells too…we need to take a shower.’ Kyuhyun, the maknae, added.
Siwon dragged both of them to the living room, ignoring their continuous nagging. Now that everybody was seated, Siwon cleared his throat.
‘Hyukjae-ah. Do you wanna break the news?’ Siwon turned to look at Eunhyuk.
‘Oh…uh…you do it.’ Eunhyuk shrugged, looking down.
‘Palli!! What is it that’s so important?’ Shindong was losing his patience now.
Siwon grinned shyly, taking quick glances at Eunhyuk. He pulled him closer and wrapped his arm around Hyukkie’s waist.
‘Actually…we-we….are in love.’ Siwon finally let it out.
Thw whole room was surrounded by silence. The other members looked like they were in a trance. Donghae’s face darkened, his eyebrows twitched. His heart broke to pieces right then. What the hell is this? Some kind of nightmare? Since when are they in love? Why would Siwon steal my innocent Hyukkie??
‘Yah…Eunhyuk…is this true?’ Lee Teuk was the one to break the silence.
All eyes were focused on him, except for Donghae. He was still staring blankly on the floor, his fists tightened. Don’t say it’s true, Hyukkie. Don’t do it, don’t do it, don’t do it-
‘Yes.’ Eunhyuk spoke.
‘How did this happened actually?’ Sungmin, one of Eunhyuk’s closest friend, asked.
‘Truth is, I’ve always liked him. But only now I realized that he likes me too. And we didn’t wanna keep this a secret from you guys so that’s why we called you here.’ Siwon explained, grabbing Eunhyuk’s hand and squeezing it for everyone to see.
Wow, he’s a good actor. Eunhyuk thought to himself.
‘Well, if you guys really like each other, then I guess there’s nothing else left for us to say.’ Shindong shrugged.
‘Woah~~ now that I’ve looked closely, you guys look great together.’ Kyuhyun said.
‘WAIT!!’
The others turned to the surprisingly loud voice. It was Yesung.
‘Now that the situation has turned this way, there’s no better time to say what I’m about to say.’ Yesung cleared his throat seriously.
He picked Ryewook’s hand and pulled him up.
‘We’re in love too.’
The other eight members stared at them for a while.
‘Nehh, we kinda figured that out already.’ Heechul said, casually. The others nodded simultaneously in agreement. Then, they turned their backs to face Siwon and Eunhyuk.
‘YAH!! We’re a couple too!!’ Yesung stomped his feet.
‘Okay,okay. Whatever.’ Kyuhyun rolled his eyes.
‘Stop ignoring us!! Aren’t you at least shocked or something? He stomped his feet again.
‘Yeah, we get it, Yesungie. You’re in ‘love’.’ Heechul mocked then bust out laughing, high-fiving Shindong.
‘Aishh..jinjja!!’ Yesung sulked. Nobody ever took him seriously.
‘Okay…so..are you guys okay with it?’ Siwon asked, their attentions were now focused back on Siwon and Eunhyuk.
‘Of course we are. Right?’ Lee Teuk passed the question to the other members.
‘Yeah, sure.’
‘Donghae-ah…you’ve been pretty quiet. Are you okay?’ Sungmin who was sitting beside him, poked his shoulder.
Upon hearing his name, Donghae looked up, facing everyone. He caught Eunhyuk’s eyes, who quickly looked away awkwardly. He knew Eunhyuk was listening.
‘Why wouldn’t I be okay?’ Donghae laughed out loud. ‘I’m happy for you guys.Yah, Hyukjae!! Chukkahamnida!’ He gave him the thumbs-up sign.
Eunhyuk gritted his teeth. Was he seriously not affected by the news at all? What is he, a freaking robot?

Donghae locked the door behind him and threw himself on the queen sized bed. He buried his face in a pillow and screamed loudly. He can’t believe what just happened. His one and only Hyukkie had been taken by someone else. ‘What should I do now? How can I possibly survive even a day knowing there’s someone else in his heart? Hyukkie is supposed to be mine, only mine.’

The next morning, Ryeowook was the one to prepare breakfast, as usual. The other members were seated in their usual places, minding their own business.
‘Guys!! Breakfast ready!’ Ryeowook called out, putting the final dish on the table.
Yesung jumped instantly.
‘Woahh~~smells good, Wookie-ah. This is why I love you.’ Yesung melodically sang. Ryeowook just blushed slightly.
Eunhyuk took his seat, as usual, next to Donghae. Siwon cleared his throat slightly.
‘Uhmm..Hyukkie-ah, why don’t you sit here from now on?’ Siwon said, pulling out the chair next to him.
Donghae looked up, glared at Siwon, his fists getting tighter. Siwon pretended not to see and just smiled at Eunhyuk.
Eunhyuk got up and made his way to Siwon, leaving Donghae behind. Siwon smiled cheerfully as Eunhyuk took his new seat. Donghae squeezed the spoon in his hand tightly. Calm down, calm down. He kept reminding himself.
Siwon took a new bowl and put it in front of Eunhyuk. He started to pick some veggies and meat with his chopstick and dropped them in Hyuk’s bowl.
‘You should eat more, Hyukkie. Look at you, you’re so thin nowadays. I don’t want you to get sick. From now on, you must eat a lot. Arasso?’
Eunhyuk smiled his cute gummy smile and nodded. “Okay.’
Donghae was getting jumpy in his seat. ‘Since when did Siwon called him Hyukkie? Only I’m allowed to call him that. And why was Eunhyuk acting cutely in front of that tall bastard? He only acts that way around me!!’
Donghae couldn’t stand it anymore. He puts down his chopsticks and wiped his mouth.
‘I’m full. I think I’ll go out for a while.’ He said, leaving his seat and went out of the house for a walk. He needed some fresh hair.

Sungmin was the only one who realized the tension between those three guys. From what he has seen just now during breakfast, Donghae definitely needs some help. Putting on his sneakers, he left the house to look for Donghae.

Donghae sat quietly on the bench at the nearby park. Watching the leaves from the tree in front of him fall one by one, he started to think about Lee Hyukjae.
‘I’m such an idiot. If only I had confessed earlier, none of this crap would’ve happened. Now I’ve lost Hyukkie forever and I have to live with that fact until the very last moment of my useless life.’
‘Tsk, tsk. Donghae-ah~~’ A familiar voice called out his name.
Donghae turned. Sungmin was standing behind the bench, looking down at him.
‘You guys are all complete idiots, do you know that?’ Sungmin continued.
‘Huh?’ Donghae was confused.
‘Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about.’ Sungmin pointed out. ‘Your misery right now is all because of Eunhyuk, right?’
‘How did you-‘
‘Because I used my eyes to see, and my mind to think. If you had been like me, I’m sure you would’ve figured it out a long time ago.’ Sungmin said.
‘Figured out what?’ Now he’s getting annoyed. What the hell is this guy talking about?
Sungmin slapped his forehead.
‘Aigoo…let me make it easier for you.’ Sungmin sighed. ‘Go back to the dorm and go through Eunhyuk’s bottom drawer. You’ll know what I’m talking about.’
Curious, Donghae decided to just follow what Sungmin had instructed.
As soon as he arrived, he took off his shoes and went straight to the room which he shared with Eunhyuk. He reached and pulled out Eunhyuk’s bottom drawer. There was nothing there except for an old sketchbook. Is this what Sungmin had wanted him to see?
He opened the sketchbook and browsed through it. What the hell? Why is it full with drawings of me? Did Sungmin drew this? Is this some kind of a practical joke?
Donghae stopped moving at the last page. Something caught his attention. It was a drawing of him playing basketball. Below the drawing, there was a caption.
Lee Donghae, why won’t you look at me? Can’t you see that I’m crazy about you?
He turned to see the back of the sketchbook. In small, neat writing, he saw

Donghae dropped his jaw slightly. The feelings he had never felt before came rushing through his body. He put down the sketchbook. He needed to find Hyukkie. Now. Slamming the door behind him, he ran to the kitchen.
‘Oh, Teukie hyung. Have you seen Hyukjae?’
‘I think he’s in Siwon’s room. You better not disturb them. They need their privacy.’ Lee Teuk said.
Huh. These actors. How long did they think they were gonna fool me?
Donghae barged into Siwon’s room, only to find Siwon reading a book on his bed and Eunhyuk laying on the floor, listening to his iPod. Both of them got up immediately when they saw Donghae.
‘Oh, Donghae-ah..what’s up?’ Eunhyuk asked, pulling out the earphoned from his ears.
Without saying a word, he grabbed Eunhyuk’s hand forcefully and pulled him out.
‘YAH!! What are you doing? Let me go!’ Eunhyuk struggled but Donghae’s grip was too strong.
Ignoring him, Donghae pulled Eunhyuk without a single word to their dorm’s balcony. He let his hand go when they were both alone
‘For your information, that HURTS. A lot.’ Eunhyuk glared, rubbing his wrists where Donghae grabbed him.
‘Why didn’t you tell me?’ Donghae stepped closer, getting straight to the point.
‘About what?’ Eunhyuk raised his eyebrows.
‘You can drop the act, Hyukjae. I already know.’ Donghae crossed his arms.’I saw your sketchbook, Hyukkie.’
Eunhyuk gulped. Crap. Now everything’s gonna be ruined. Donghae’s gonna hate him for having stupid feelings and he’ll lose his best frind forever. There was nothing he could do now to fix this.
‘YAH!! WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO GO THROUGH MY STUFF??!!’ Eunhyuk yelled.
‘So you admit that it is true?’ Donghae asked.
‘Fine. Yeah! I admit! Now that you know about it, I’m sure you find it hilarious, right? Go on! Laugh all you want!’
Donghae just kept quiet, his eyes locked on Eunhyuk’s.
‘So what do you want me to do now, huh? Just abandon my feelings and pretend nothing ever happened? I’m not like you, you robot!!’ Eunhyuk was now mad.
‘I never asked you to do that.’ Donghae said casually.
‘Then what? Dissapear from your sight? Fine! I can do that!’
‘No. I want you to stay still.’ Donghae stepped closer. ‘ So I can do this.’
He grabbed Eunhyuk by the neck with his long fingers and kissed him right then. It only lasted for about five seconds but it was enough to make their knees go weak.
Donghae’s hand traveled from his neck and went down to Hyukjae’s chest.
‘I’m sorry for being such an idiot all this while. From this moment on, you’re mine forever, Hyukkie. I love you.’ He took Eunhyuk’s hand and intertwined it with his.
Eunhyuk, who had been closing his eyes, mesmerized by their previous kiss,
Finally opens them and stares into Donghae’s brown ones.
‘I love you too, Hae.’ He whispered, flashing his cute gummy smile.

Donghae barged into Siwon’s room, only to find Siwon reading a book on his bed and Eunhyuk laying on the floor, listening to his iPod. Both of them got up immediately when they saw Donghae.
‘Oh, Donghae-ah..what’s up?’ Eunhyuk asked, pulling out the earphoned from his ears.
Without saying a word, he grabbed Eunhyuk’s hand forcefully and pulled him out.

‘YAH!! WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO GO THROUGH MY STUFF??!!’ Eunhyuk yelled.
‘So you admit that it is true?’ Donghae asked.
‘Fine. Yeah! I admit! Now that you know about it, I’m sure you find it hilarious, right? Go on! Laugh all you want!’
Donghae just kept quiet, his eyes locked on Eunhyuk’s.
‘So what do you want me to do now, huh? Just abandon my feelings and pretend nothing ever happened? I’m not like you, you robot!!’ Eunhyuk was now mad.
‘I never asked you to do that.’ Donghae said casually.
‘Then what? Dissapear from your sight? Fine! I can do that!’
‘No. I want you to stay still.’ Donghae stepped closer. ‘ So I can do this.’
He grabbed Eunhyuk by the neck with his long fingers and kissed him right then. It only lasted for about five seconds but it was enough to make their knees go weak.
Donghae’s hand traveled from his neck and went down to Hyukjae’s chest.
‘I’m sorry for being such an idiot all this while. From this moment on, you’re mine forever, Hyukkie. I love you.’ He took Eunhyuk’s hand and intertwined it with his.
Eunhyuk, who had been closing his eyes, mesmerized by their previous kiss,
Finally opens them and stares into Donghae’s brown ones.
‘I love you too, Hae.’ He whispered, flashing his cute gummy smile.
