I've waited years for this Tori Amos release for years

Now I've very, very disappointed.

We don't need yet another CD, much less boxed set, including songs we've already heard, with the only exceptions being alternate versions (Tales of a Librarian was released years ago, do we really need a big multi-disc version of it?). Of course, some of the problems with the bee-sides listed here are only the alternative versions, with the originals othewise hard as hell to find in the first place, with the exceptions of bootlegs and online auctions. And sure, it's nice to see some tracks that have never been heard before, but there are also some obvious omissions of some rare tracks, some from the Little Earthquakes and Under the Pink era-where the hell is Ode to the Banana King (Or A Song for Eric, or Carnival, etc...), and the cover tunes from one of her most rarest limited edition singles? Fuck, what about her soundtrack work? What about one of those nice little download-only b-sides that never made it to her live DVD/EP set that came out a few years ago? This kind of thing makes me wonder if she and her record is trying to help the bootleg and p2p industry. Sure, I'll probably buy this damn thing, but I won't be staying away from bootlegs either.

music, meh, time to go back to buying bootlegs, tori amos
