Eug Events: May 2010 (Now with Color Commentary!)
As I did last month, and as I will for the months ahead, I create these list-form entries merely for myself to keep track of what it is I've been doing. Sometimes it gets difficult for me to find time to post in my LJ, but at least this way I can remind myself (and give friends a look into) what I've been up to. Love ya.

*** Gorgeous spring weather on the 16th floor of a Midtown Hotel. Fantastic view of 8th Avenue and incredible DJ ***

May 4 - Spent the evening with Brendan (BEST "Glee" Episode EVER & TOTALLY Shocking "Lost"!)
May 5 - Graceland at The Duke on 42nd Street
May 6 - Zelina's Farewell Dinner at Mezcal's / Drinks at La Taqueria

*** So insane and clever! Liberally-poured open-bar and the entire Ballroom was decorated in yellow circus atmosphere! Banana split bar, popcorn on a clothesline, chicken satay in a wheelbarrow, mac-n-cheese served by jail-birds, fishing for sushi, spaghetti on trees! And we got so drunk on the dance-floor ***
May 20 - Family Week at Lucille Lortel Theatre
May 21 - Cirque du Soleil Banana Shpeel at the Beacon Theatre with Brendan
*** Absolutely abysmal! Unbelievable how terrible this show was, from the very first minute. Walked-out at intermission. Disastrous, unfunny, boring, insulting and embarrassing ***
May 21 - Lincoln Center Illumination Lawn (newly opened grass terrace over-looking Juilliard!) with Brendan
May 22 - ROSEBUD!
May 23 - The Metropolitan Museum of Art & Vilcek Foundation ("Lost" Exhibit) with Brendan
May 23 - "LOST" SERIES FINALE!
*** Insanely emotional and painfully cerebral. Now that people have had time to let their emotions settle-down and their brains to take-over, Jeff Jensen (Entertainment Weekly) provides a VERY IN-DEPTH analysis of the historical final episode: PART 1 and PART 2

May 26 - The Forest at Classic Stage Company
May 27 - Sondheim on Sondheim at Studio 54

*** Matt, Josh, Brendan & Eug drive to The Woods (Gay Campground in the Poconos). Plot our tent in the Over-flow Field. Meet the very friendly (and often naked) neighbors. Got an idea of the campground lay-out (lots of permanent residents in cabins/trailers, make the whole place super cute and woodsy-gay-fun. Dance in The Club, Bonfire. ***
May 29 - CAMPING TRIP!!!
*** Walked around the lake and trails. Laid-out at the pool (killer sunburns). Eug played beach-volleyball for 2-hours. Josh cooked hamburgers. Made some great new friends, including Jeff & Rick (from D.C.); John & Kirk (from Jersey); Michael (with dog Baxter); Evan, Carlos, Daniel (from NYC); Philly Phil; Charles & Garth; Dan (The Camp Rat); Kirk (Hardware). Memorial Day Red/White/Blue Party dancing in The Club ***
May 30 - WHITE WATER RAFTING!!!
*** Woke up early to go to the Poconos White Water Rafting adventure. 13-miles down the Lehigh River. Lots of Class 2 and 3 (almost 4) rapids, because of the Dam Release. We figured it out after a few tries. Then we saved lives! Seriously, a girl and 2 women got knocked out of their raft and rushed down the rapids. With super butch strength, pulled them to safety! Was really adrenaline-kicking! After the lunch break, we led amongst the Top 4 rafts the rest of the way with our guide Emily.

*** Back at The Woods, joined the Yellow Party outside. Josh grilled dinner again. Then joined the 80s Dance Party at The Club ***
May 31 - CAMPING TRIP!!!
*** After a lazy breakfast and chilling with our Woods friends, hung-out pool-side for a short bit before packing-up and driving home! ***
