San Francisco treatsss
Never-Ending Gobstopper: Friday night Cloyne Pirate Party. Going with amazing friends, and meeting up with a ton more in an all-out Rager a la the most infamous plunderers and thieves of history. We listened to Shwaun's reggae band cover some of the more neglected ((but some of the best)) Sublime songs. Just beyond this introductory interim of the night, we were surprised with Casey guitarring for some other band. Everyone stood in place on stage, but Casey rocked it so hard, he fell off stage onto his face...and then played it off like a move he was rocking really really hard to. Girls rolling, fire poi, and chess played in a gated off room of glowing red candles. Finished off the night driving through the SF Fog.
Zachary's and Cheese Sandwiches: Saturday started off in the Golden Gate Park. Too many people there for the Science Center opening, but while I was there, Spencer and I managed to get tickets to Dale Chihuly's show. The entire park was organized chaos. Blocks were dotted with Free Water Dispenseries for dehydrated patrons in line. Saw a Municipal Horse take a shit. Listened to the Junkestra. Finished our night in Berkeley at Zachary's followed by the Missouri Lounge, where I saw Zach DJing. Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
Papaya Salad: Early morning. Thai Temple was the least crowded I have seen it...ever. Chihuly Show. Dollar Book Warehouse sale; I got a ton of books. Books on butchering, cheese, anthropological food essays, oxford short stories, Wuthering Heights ((english and german)), and then auf Deutsch: Philosophie Aufsaetze, Faust, Die Sturmhoehe, Rudyard Kipling Geschichte, Erich Marie WWII Texte.
Beans: Today's breakfast -- Homemade beans Ohudy style with plantains and tasties. Plenty of junk food on the ride back.
So much good stuff. I miss the Bay already.
