Springfield promo video!

I ran across this promotional video someone made for Springfield, Missouri. The video shows many stills of Springfield landmarks and such. If you watch it I implore you to watch it all the way through. The video feels long at its whopping five and a half minutes but takes a strange, capitalism is great, turn towards the end.

Springfield, MO: "Gateway to Branson"

I've been there...an awful, dull spot.

And yeah, it was pretty odd the way the music dropped out when they started talking about those $40,000 annual incomes and what you can buy with it

Very, very weird. Rife with spelling errors and stilted peculiar grammar. I think it must be a translation from maybe a Chinese or Indian recruiting video. Also, I noticed that most of "significant" buildings had something to do with John Q. Hammons.

they obviously value very different things about springfield than i do. and you could buy any one of those horrible housing development houses, when there are actually some really cool victorian houses in springfield.

what i really liked was how you could see parts of the car window they took the picture out of in those last shots. and why did almost every shot have a weird tilt to the right?

I'm a little creeped out.

"You CAN make a good living here!"

Really, then how come my salary doubled when I left the midwest?
