i don't think i have written an entry in a while, infact i know i haven't.
Apart from seeing Augie March perform live last saturday night, yves klein blue winning the mtv kickstart your band competition, Caroline's 17th birthday celebrations underway and missing a dad in africa, life has been routinely...
wake up at 6am
leave the house by 7 either on the bus or driving elch, listening to triple j while the streets become busier and i remind myself to find another passenger inorder to take advantage of the T2 lane,
arrive at uni when the library is still closed and the guy who opens the door routinely checks it's exactly 8am when he does,
listen to anything from spanish, to buffer solution chemistry to meiosis biology, where the lecturer has what he later regretted called 'his sperm' wiggling across the slide to catch our attention..they do try, they really do.
find someone with whom to procrastinate and cure caffeine with drawls
realize there are 100000 billion things needing to be done and stay loitering uni campus for as long as possible checking out 'romance language film nights','african drumming classes' 'outdoors salsa classes' (everyone stands in circles and dances mostly terribly apart from the freak few who flaunt their tricky spins and back-arching moves) 'Red Room Trivia'
when i return home and don't have to finish day working amongst the wine bottles, caroline and mum, always up for an icedcoffee provide a great source of extra curricular procrastination
life is good..and yet there seems something missing.
but isn't that what we're always told, there should always be something we desire more than what we already have, or else we are no longer contributing to the general flow of capitalist living.. either that or marx is getting to me.
The Augie March concert at 'the zoo' was HOT. at the end of the performance glen thanked the fans, for the breeze.. and we thanked him for bad jokes about uncomfortably sweltering conditions. other than the sweat factor, the performance was excrutiatingly passionate, vividly displayed by the drummers facial expressions.
i haven't seen the new cover of the harry potter book! i must search now. when is the book due on the shelves? i have an urge to dress up in a snape costume and join the harry potter fans in shopping malls around the world..
hope everyone else is enjoying and taking advantage of their youthful lives.
