Ponderances

Some of our civilization's most interesting delusions:
Never
Always
Perfect
Permanent

Our short lives may lead us to believe these things, so these are born more of ignorance than spite. No matter what the source, I can think of worse goals than trying to purge delusion. A clear, disiplined perception would be handy.

Delusions? Or just a sense of contrived immortality?

It comforts the soul to hear forever, always, perfect or permanent. Some of us can differentiate between comfort and logic.

Provided time exists, nothing is permanent. <3

I suppose it comes down to personal preference.
People can live in a padded dream world all they like, or they can contastantly torment themselves with what they want to see as "Real".
Still, there can be allot of comfort in knowing things will change, as anyone with a painful disease will tell you.
Interesting angle, I was more going for commentary on seeing things for what they are, not accepting life in your own way to keep happy. (As thin and blurry a line as THAT is XD)

I dunno. I think denying the reality that surrounds you (good or bad) cuts you down in experience, personal knowledge, wisdom, and just...um...plain living ( ... )
