I'm pretty sure Julian is the only kid of my aquaintance that has a cashmere rodent hand puppet. My well-loved brown sweater developed an enormous undarnable hole so I threw it in the washer/dryer set on hot to felt it and less than one hour of hand sewing later she has a mouse-ish puppet complete with eyes, ears, nose and a tail.
I guess I did a good job because Ira wants me to make him something with the rest of the sweater. We'll see- this was an early birthday present for my daughter and I have Hannukah dollmaking plans for rest of the cashmere. Anyone know a good source for wool stuffing?
