Ch V

“Therefore in this stanza, the poet expresses himself in first person for the effect of this context. Is there anyone who doesn’t understand?”

The truth is...Jaejoong’s teaching style is impeccable.

Yunho had always considered himself quite adequate in the literature field (his injured leg meant that a lot of his spare time in school was spent in the library since his friends had to go practice their dancing), yet he always felt so enlightened in Jaejoong’s lessons...even though he spends the majority of his time just staring at his sexy teacher.

“So do you all understand?” Jaejoong glanced up from his notebook to scan the room, but turned away before reaching Yunho’s seat.

With a pout, Yunho propped his head in his hand and began to play with his pens.

Since that conversation in the office, Jaejoong rarely met Yunho’s eyes anymore, let alone talked to him. He surrounded himself with teachers or students wherever he went, so that there were no openings for Yunho to strike up a conversation either. It’s no surprise that he blocked all messages and phone calls from Yunho as well.

But they weren’t lovers or anything, so it’s not like Yunho cares.

“Stop making a face, Yunho-sii, now come up here and complete this sentence on the board.”

Yunho deepened his frown and made his way to the front of the classroom.

What was impressive about Jaejoong was that, the guy still made sure he talked to Yunho just enough so that nobody notices he was avoiding the latter.

While Yunho stood in front of the blackboard, scrutinizing his teacher’s perfect handwriting, Jaejoong kept a reasonable distance and turned to encourage the class to have a go at it as well. Annoyed by this little display, Yunho made sure to dement the piece of chalk as he wrote the answer.

“...Is literature one of your best subjects, Yunho-sii?” Jaejoong asked as he watched Yunho’s words line up neatly with his sentence starter.

“You could say that.” Once he’d finished, Yunho turned lazily to Jaejoong for a confirmation of his answer.

Jaejoong glanced at the blackboard then back at Yunho, “Very good, Yunho-sii. You obviously know your sentence structures and tenses, I have nothing to add. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome, consider it a favor,” Yunho muttered. So the sly bastard was praising him now, whatever, it’s fine by him.

“Do you like literature, Yunho-sii?” Jaejoong gave his first genuine smile in weeks as he took the chalk off Yunho.

But Yunho was in too much of a bad mood to appreciate that. “I hate it.”

With a scowl, he made his way back to his seat, feeling a little better after seeing Jaejoong’s eyes widen at what he’d said. When he glanced back, Jaejoong had carried on with the lesson...with a new smirk on his face. He was laughing at him! The guy wasn’t taking Yunho seriously at all!

“Hyung, I thought you liked literature,” Junsu turned around and tilted his head at Yunho’s fuming face.

“I learned not to.”

Jaejoong could go ahead and fool the world with his suits, his glasses and the air of aloofness, but Jung Yunho would always be the one to know that at home Kim Jaejoong was a man who lazed on the sofa all day with his hair in a mess, purring like a cat. Overall, he was a short-tempered, foul-mouthed and picky person who couldn’t be bothered to do anything half the time.

Yunho turned to glare out the window. He also knew that Jaejoong was ticklish and that his body was smooth, flat and perfectly toned - a body that was also responsive and honest. Jaejoong had a dirty mouth and liked it from behind with enough force to rock his entire body. The sound of his hoarse voice in those intense moments was always so hot....

Yunho’s head landed on his desk with a thunk. What the hell was he thinking? That was a total attempt at self destruction, he must be insane...shit.

“That will be all. Don’t forget to do your homework and don’t expect to pass your test next week if you do forget.”

Yunho released a breath he didn’t know he’d been holding. That could’ve possibly been the longest literature lesson in his life.

“Hyung, wanna grab something to eat on the way home?” Changmin asked, “I can kill for some decent food right now.”

“Huh...yeah...sure,” Yunho dragged a hand through his hair, feeling completely exhausted.

“What’s up hyung?” Yoochun raised an eyebrow when Yunho started to message his temples, “You’ve been really weird lately. You’re not sick are you?”

“If I were sick, I wouldn’t be at school,” Yunho grumbled, “Come on, let’s get out of here.”

In truth, Yunho really wished he wasn’t sick because sickness is a weakness and he was weak enough as it is. And definitely wouldn’t want such a weakness to be brought by a man...the man who was currently standing in the middle of the corridor surrounded by a group of squealing school girls.

“Wow, it’s Kim sonsaeng-nim again,” Junsu commented, wide-eyed, “He’s really popular with the girls isn’t he? They’re practically swarming him.”

“I heard he’s an idol amongst the teachers as well. Apparently, the maths teacher Choi Siwon sonsaeng-nim, has his eye on him,” Yoochun added, more interested in the girls than anything, “Damn those skirts have really gotten short lately.”

“Choi sonsaeng-min? But he’s a guy!” Changmin stuck his tongue out in disgust.

“Well he’s legendary in this school for being gay.”

“Don’t say that you two, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being gay,” Junsu folded his arms, “I think love between two men is cute.”

Changmin and Yoochun gave the duck butt a look. “Well you think what you want. Let’s go Yunho-...hyung?”

When the three turned around, Yunho had long left since left them. Seeing Jaejoong with those annoying girls was pissing him off enough, he didn’t need the information of Choi Siwon after Jaejoong as well. And then there was still that physician Kim Hyun Joong to take care of. Yunho had a feeling he was going to become a violent person.

“Oh Jung Yunho-sii, come over here and help me carry this to the staff room.”

Yunho looked back at Lee sonsaeng-nim kneeling feebly beside a stack of boxes. “Huh? Why me?”

“Just do it and where are your manners?”

Yunho picked up the boxes and followed the teacher down the corridor. His day just couldn’t get any worse.

“Here we are- ...don’t use your feet to open the door!” the teacher exclaimed.

“Well my hands are full aren’t they? I’m doing you a huge favor already sonsaeng-nim, don’t you know that I injured my leg?” Yunho was in an absolute foul mood and would’ve happily kicked the stubborn door down...when it was slid open from the other side.

“Ah...”

“Oh, Kim sonsaeng-nim! Thank you for your help, I’m sorry, this slacker must’ve disturbed your work.”

Yunho blinked at the teacher. Seeing an elder suck up to a younger teacher was something he never thought he’d see, but Jaejoong obviously had that power.

“Not at all Lee sonsaeng-nim,” Jaejoong smiled, “I was just on my way out. Would you like some help?”

Yunho frowned, Jaejoong had directed the question at Lee sonsaeng-nim as though he wasn’t even there.

“Oh no we’re fine, Yunho-sii, put that down on my desk.”

“Then I’ll take my leave,” Jaejoong beamed again and the smile was dazzling, but Yunho had never seen that face before. There wasn’t even a hint of the Jaejoong that he knew.

Yunho decided he needed to get as far away from Jaejoong as possible to clear his mind after this hectic day. He’d almost succeeded in leaving when he caught Choi Siwon sonsaeng-nim sneaking up to Jaejoong and leading him off somewhere in the act of a friendly gesture. Yunho bit his lip. Why now? Every cell in his body told him that he didn’t like it, but It’s not like there’s anything he could do. It’s too late for him. Jaejoong had completely and thoroughly ignored and rejected him. They had been over before they ever began.

Nevertheless Yunho followed them to the Jaejoong’s office and was just in time to see Choi Siwon grab Jaejoong in a way that freaked the latter out.

“Kim sonsaeng-nim, please go out with-”

Like hell was Yunho going to let the perverted bastard finish the sentence he had never been able to utter.

“Sonsaeng-nim, I need help with literature,” Yunho barged into the room glaring at the maths teacher, “Oh, are you busy?”

“O-of course not,” Choi Siwon tried to laugh off the awkward situation, “Uh...next time you get stiff shoulders, just roll them like this and you’ll be fine Kim sonsaeng-nim...um...well, I’ll be off. Thanks for the coffee and...uh...have a nice day both of you.”

Yunho made sure he bumped shoulders with the teacher before kicking the door close behind him.

“Did I interrupt something?” Yunho turned to glance down at a slightly shaken Jaejoong.

“No...I’m not sure what just happened myself, but...thank you,” Jaejoong straightened his clothes with a frown, “Oh yeah, you need help right? Take a seat.”

Yunho didn’t sit. He stood there and stared at the beautiful man before him until the latter questioned him about it. It had never bothered Yunho before but he was beginning to notice the strength of what he felt towards Kim Jaejoong and that there was no stopping it.

“You should probably stop looking at people like that, Jaejoongie. Hasn’t anyone told you that it looks like you’re leading them on? Choi sonsaeng-nim was probably fazed by that, but I guess it’s become your habit now,” Yunho said, watching Jaejoong’s cheeks turn a rosy red, “It’s easy for people to get the wrong idea from those beautiful eyes...me included....”

Jaejoong looked up at Yunho, eyes wide, “Yunho...”

“I don’t like beating around the bush, so I’m just going to say it...” Yunho clenched his fists and prayed to God, “I want to start over from the beginning. I love you Jaejoong-ah and it’s not a whim or an assumption, it is a affirmation from my heart.”

“I am jealous of everything that comes close to you and when I see you smiling in a way that you’d never shown me, I...it’s crazy how I feel.” Yunho wanted to talk this through coolly and smoothly, but he felt as though he was going to run out of breath soon. “I know it’s unfair of me to ask you this after everything that’d happened, but if you are willing to forgive me then...”

Yunho leaned forward and grabbed onto Jaejoong’s hands as though this was his last chance...this was probably his last chance.

“Please go out with me...for real this time!”

Thank you to everyone who commented (and sorry for not replying again T__T) on my other fic and thank you to all readers.

I know I said I'm going to try update more often now, but unfortunately for the past two weeks I've been in and out of hospital, on and off IV drips for this nasty chest infection, which had just started to get better TT___TT.

I'm updating this fic because it's a yunjae adaptation of the manga Ano Kado wo Magatta Tokoro by Kawai Touko-sensei and I don't have to think up the plot because right now I have no muse, so sorry if i go back to no updating for a while T__T.

Love you all =)! Please comment!
