In wellington. Its cold and windy, but at least it has stopped raining. My brother Greg and I were going to climb up Mt Victoria to look at one of the LOTR film locations (FOTR where the hobbits hide under the tree from the wringrath). But it was too cold and windy to go climbing Mt Victoria today. We went and saw Big Fish at Reading Cinemas instead. Neither of us knew much about the film apart from the fact that Tim Burton directed it, and usually that is a good sign. I did enjoy it, but I would put it in the 'light entertainment' category as the story was nice but one dimensional. The plot examined whether it was better to believe in a world of facts, or whether the world was better if fact was embellished with fantasy.
Tried to get a hold of Q while I was in Wellington. Have rung twice today but Q is not at home.
The David Bowie concert last night was excellent - especially as he did a number of songs I didn't expect to hear. 'Under Pressure' with Bowie singing most of Freddie Mercury's parts (Bowie joked it was good for gay cred), and an obsure track of Low, which happens to be one of my favorites, 'A New Career in a New Town'. Will write up more about it when I get home.
