I have reached 9000 words on my Big Bang, which doesn't sound like a lot (I can hear newredshoes freaking out from here. But it does feel like a doable amount to me. Yes, I still have 11, 000 words to go, but I'm just embarking on the section wherein Brad stays with Doc Bryan and the girlfriend that I gave him in A Single Spark (and I love Sharahah), followed by a Hoosier/Leckie section and Brad's final (smutty) meet-up with Nate in Boston.

I can do this!
Though, I do occasionally wonder what made me think that getting four fandoms into one 20, 000 word fic was a good idea (Generation Kill, Band of Brothers, American Idiot and The Pacific).

Here. Have a snippet:

His primary bike, the one that he rode often and missed like a part of him, was European, sleeker than the American and English bikes, maybe not as beautiful, but sleek and built for speed. To ride it, he has to lean forward into the wind, grip it with his knees, trust it just a little. In the desert, he explained it as speed and solitude. His father would smile and shake his head and reassure him that you love what you love, son. You rarely get a say in it. No photographs in his wallet, just a scrap of paper with a date, but Brad has long understand the wisdom in that.

It's a beautiful bike and he loves it.

And now I will go take a bath before I go back to writing!
And, of course, I still just want to write Latter Days Zombies or Vampire!Nate for mydocuments ._.

My life. Let me show you how ridiculous it is.

fic: warbigbang, fandom: sodapop and ritalin, fandom: how fucked are we now?, fandom: currahee!, fandom: marines make do
