Obvious objection to the "gateway" argument for pot: we still allow teenagers to get jobs at places like restaurants despite it being a huge source of their getting drugs. Also high school. And college. All perfectly legal despite their high chance of leading to drugs.
The question is entirely about how damaging marijuana is, and the data do not justify its current classification as a schedule I drug. Not even close, really, maybe schedule four or five.

Yeah, there were six or seven people ahead of him for the lead in high school musical, but they all mysteriously died in accidents.
I actually wish they were doing an American Death Note and cast him as Light, he seems very appropriate for Light's public face, and could probably play his real self with good direction. (There were/are rumors to this effect floating around but I'm fairly certain it's a joke.)
