Scott Adams is better in column form than in Dilbert.
We should have juries for lawmaking. Professional politicians are directly against everything democracy stands for. Imagine, people are randomly selected, given some information to read about a law, they come in for a week while someone argues for and someone else argues against, they pick it as a real sample of Americans, but informed Americans, instead of a cluster of the richest, most manipulative/charming americans. We could still vote on these federal defenders and detractors like we do now, but we'd have something resembling a democracy.
I had some other thing I was going to write about but I forget what it is.
