Itchy Itchy
So I got into some poision ivy or something similar somewhere in my yard the other day when i was trying to work on my landscape, which is in dire need atm. This is only the second time I've broken out with something from around here, and lemme tell you it 's freakin AWFUL!!! I guess I'll just have to keep dousing myself in calamine, seems like it is getting better after today. Since I broke out so much, I was advised to just stay in the house till it got better and so I decided to listen to an audiobook I downloaded of Dan Brown's new book The Lost Symbol. He's a really great author and this book was fantastic as always. I'd definitely recommend to anyone that hasn't read it. I also redownloaded SPORE for the pc for something to do, because I've been so bored lately. It's a fun little game that I can get lost in and kill some time. I did get to go to a "pond party" that some of our neighbors/relatives threw last weekend. Basically they live on this nice sized pond that runs all around their house and decided to invite all the people along the road i live on. It was an ok party I guess, I really just went for the food =P If it hadn't been so rednecky it wouldn't have been so bad, but come on, bluegrass and watching football is not my idea of a party.
Other than all that, my life has been pretty blah. A friend of mine asked if her bf could come down and move in with me now that my old roommate has moved off and I'm not really fond of the thought. Maybe if it was someone I actually knew, I'd consider it, but I'm pretty fine by myself. I mean it does get lonely sometimes, but at least I don't have to answer to anyone and its 20 million times easier to keep the house in order and bills caught up. She kept trying to pressure me into letting him move in, but I finally mentioned that I wasn't really straight and that seemed to make her rethink the situation real quick like, lol. That's perfectly fine by me. I finally am getting my house fixed up and renovated the way I like. Mainly working on my room lately, putting plaster on the walls and gonna do a faux finish I learned from my aunt. I've also got one long wall that I'm gonna try and paint a mural of a dragon on, which I think will look awesome in there.
