Signing My Life Away
Wow... signed the lease on the apartment I'm staying in in Denton. Crazy feeling. It always feels a little like you're signing your life away when you fill out those sheets after sheets after sheets. While I wasn't excited like I was signing the lease for our Plano apartment, I was... happy. It felt like a move forward, toward healing.
I feel a little like I've finally stopped treading water. Gotten my machete and done some hacking at the sharks. Still a long swim to solid ground, but I finally feel like I have the tools I need to make it. Where, exactly, I'll wind up I'm not sure, but I've got enough eels to untangle I can worry about that when I get there.
Was a fairly turbulent night, though. Finally started letting some of my deeper-seated feelings swarm up on me. It's a good thing, but... hard. It'll be an interesting road ahead. *nod*
