massive entry about my boring life XD
it seems more and more often i'm doing photoshooting at intern rather than design XD did a ghetto shoot yesterday of a book for newspaper ad, *only* the shooting though, not the designing of the ad (though in owner's defense the whole ad is in japanese which is kinda hard for me to design when i can't read/write) then the stamps for the hospital project got delivered today and i was sent to buy ink pads (didn't have enough money!) and more ghetto shooting at my desk cuz the shared table was in use by wagu.

it was nice shooting with the natural light from the window cuz the colours were so pretty and bright and whimsical but it was also a big pain because the shadows weren't where i wanted them (mainly not much shadow at all XD) my desk backs into the window and it was either backlit or side lighting, both of which i wasn't very happy with since it casts shadows on the stamping i had in the foreground or onto the stamps themselves. owner has a reflector so i was doing a one hand holding reflector/one hand holding camera balancing act but it would only lighten the shadows and even then not really enough to be too noticeable ><
gonna come in tomorrow to do more shooting since we have to send the stamps out and we won't have them to shoot later XD it's a good thing i have no life and saturdays are really just for sleeping in (though i was thinking i'd finally get off my lazy butt and go to that edo museum) i wonder if we'll get lunch? XD
i *want* to do photoshoots (i had so much fun doing them at home) and curecos actually have people looking for cameramen who aren't going to rent a studio but i keep procrastinating emailing curecos people about photoshooting them ><
i have confidence in shooting product cuz the most i'll have to worry about is my lighting (we have like one lamp in the office so it's mainly window lighting) i look at the curecos photos for people who want to do photoshoots and are looking for cameramen and i get so intimidated because i don't think i can think of different poses at all =_= that and there's language barrier since i'll have to tell them what i want them to do/correct the pose so it looks better on camera. but mainly it's my fear of wasting their time and by not having any ideas of what to shoot, i might start collecting magazine clippings again of poses i like if only cuz then i'll have something to get me going...
rawr, goal before i leave japan is to photoshoot cosplayers XD and maybe do at least one studio shoot (which is ironically easier to find but i've only ever used studios in class and i have no clue how different they are from rentals)
it's the new tv season and i'm finally caught up with mentalist and more or less bones (i like powered through season 1 and watched the eps i missed for season 2 of mentalist, sorta the same for bones only it was the last 3 seasons? XD)
mentalist<3333 i have to agree with most of fandom that i liked season 1 a lot more as a whole. there are eps i liked in season 2 but it does lack the cohesiveness that was in season 1. there is so much love for jane and cho~~ i love how they interact with each other and their relationship!
i wish there were more gen fics or team fics though D: as much as rigsby/van pelt is cute or jane/lisbon is sweet or jane/cho (which i totally support if only cuz it's the two characters i like the most XD) is interesting, i think team fics where everyone is a main character are the real gems. that said, i also really liked the idea proposed in mentalist kink meme that jane is secretly in love with the whole team XD the fic with him "trading" for the teams personal belongings was so heartbreakingly sweet and so jane-like.
i really, really, really, hope episodes are uploaded relatively quickly XD i used to catch up on eps on the ctv website cuz they have streaming but it doesn't work outside of canada DX
big bang theory season premier is soon too (yet another ctv airing show) i thought the season finale was funny but overall not very season finale like XD i don't mind finales not being cliffhanger-y but it seemed so run of the mill ep you really wouldn't have known it was a finale if you watched them out of order. nonetheless, horsie-bu told me it looks interesting so i hope people upload that too XD streaming sites are my friend but sometimes the links don't work and i haven't actively tried to find streaming for bbt yet.
i still need to find a streaming site with life episodes. i really loved the season finale, it was so finale like! it really emphasized the changes that occurred slowly over the series (which i only watched on and off) and i really want to watch the whole series through instead of the random eps i caught!
i fail at being social XD today at lunch, even though everyone at the table spoke english, i think i spent less than 1/4 of the time talking and that's like rounding waaaaay up XD i'd go to the "friendship gatherings" they have every monday at the sakura house office but i suck so much at small talk it'd be torture for me. two of the new roomies are quite social though, so there might be hope? the new guy is american and he's more than happy to speak english and wants to do touristy things for the month he has free before starting his research exchange at todai. i told him we should go to a maid cafe together so it wouldn't be as awkward. not sure if he'll take me up on the offer though XD
weather has turned hot again >< it was nice and cool for 2 days but it was pretty hot today. it's supposed to be really hot this weekend too x_x where the hell is fall?
