Um, a full month since posting. Whoops.
I've been slacking on my reading too, though I've just started getting into a semi regular Bible reading and prayer pattern again. When I finish my books, I'll probably post my thoughts.
Watching "Super Tuesday the Return" makes me realize something: Ever since college, I've really hated even thinking about politics. Don't bother telling me how much politics affects you, I know. More than cynicism with the process, my apathy was due to a shift of priorities. I've spent most of the past few years thinking about things like theology, or my work. Things either more important or more immediate. So observing or arguing the current race has left me feeling a bit out of the loop. Fortunately, I have 8 months to figure things out more concretely. Yeah, 8 months of campaigning. Ain't it great?
On another note, this bit from
Jollyblogger annoyed more than anything.
N.T. Wright supports Resurrection and New Earth, press portrays it like he's some sort of radical. Putting aside what one may say about N.T. Wright, this, contrary to the report, what Wright says here is actually the "traditional" orthodox Christian teaching on the matter, albeit commonly misunderstood. Compounding the matter, even Left Behind folks believe in a resurrection and new earth, so the criticism is even odder.
