This is THAILAND

Hi everyone! [:

So my elective at KKH has finally ended aka my HOLIDAY HAS FINALLY BEGUN!!!!!! LOL..... By holiday i do mean bumming! I've promised pictures and so here's a post on Thailand!

Since its a REALLY popular holiday destination, I'm sure everyone knows all about Bangkok and it's wholesale centres for clothes and chatuchuk! Here's a post on the things we did OTHER THAN shopping!

THIS IS KHAO WANG TEMPLE at PETCHABURI! [:

So, if you've watched Bangkok Dangerous (starring Nicholas Cage and other very delicious looking Thai celebrities), this place would look familiar:

HOWEVERRRRRR this temple isn't actually in Bangkok! In fact it's FAR from it, it's about 2 hours bus ride away! It is a sight to behold! Even if it's your first time in Bangkok, it's much more exciting than the usual temple/palace visiting. Our hotel management was quite clueless about this place and they sort of discouraged us from finding our way there on our own. But we decided to persevere and with some quick research, we found out how EASY it was to get there especially considering the cheap transport in Thailand!!

On another day we followed a tour to the floating market and a few other nearby attractions including an elephant abuse centre park :/
A word of caution: If you're ever at the floating market, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING other than FOOD!!! The exact same item will be found at a significantly lower price at the shops AROUND the river itself. ANDDDDD it will be found at an even lower price at Chatuchuk Weekend market!! Not kidding! It's quite ridiculous. Especially when we saw our fellow boat rider from Europe buying WITHOUT BARGAINING. It's completely ridic how she's unaware that she just got so ripped off. Us Singaporeans on the other hand, spent all our money on the delicious food LOL.

So if you know me, you would know that i'm quite passionate and emotional about fighting for animal rights. I would like to urge everyone reading this to NOT SUPPORT ELEPHANT EXPLOITATION!!! Please don't sit on elephants. You can get the same amount of intimacy by feeding them instead and it's more fulfilling!!

See ya soon!
